“ALL OF THESE?” Catra gasped as she pointed at the bulk, Lucas adjusted his glasses “All the way to the top?” he nodded. “Every other person is busy so you’ll have to do this on your own I’m afraid” Lucas said feeling a bit sorry for her. He knew she had left a bit of a bad impression on him but why the CEO himself was taking it this far was beyond him. “Leave it to me Mister Lucas, I’ve got this” Catra showed him a thumbs up with a reassuring smile. Lucas became nervous… ‘I’d like to say she’s all big talk but she proved me wrong with those big data' he thought “Fine I’ll leave them to you then” he said as he walked away hearing her answer with a ‘sure’ and he didn’t have to turn around to know she had a smile on her face. Catra sighed after he was gone. “No matter how busy everyone is there’s no way some guys are going to see a damsel in distress and just walk on by” she flipped her pony and folded her arms as she watched as everyone went about their work until she spotted a group of five guys walking towards the company door, coming her way. She immediately took hold of one of the boxes and began walking towards the elevator, against the guys, staggering as she did. They look cautiously at her and all of them reached out to catch her when she almost toppled over. The one closest to her managed to catch the box and steadied her just in time. “Are you okay miss?” “Yes, thank you” she answered as she stood up straight from the muscular guy’s arm “I didn’t think paper could be this heavy and I’m supposed to move all of that” she sadly glances back at the other nineteen boxes in front of the receptionist desk before reaching out to collect the one in the man’s hand. “It’s my first time here so I’m not used to it but I’m sure I will with time” she nodded in acknowledgement and was about to move away when the man grabbed the box off her hand, smiling at the confused look on her face. “It won’t be so manly of us to walk away when a frail lady such as yourself is doing such brute work” and with that he walked towards the boxes, the other guys following after. “Bingo” she smirked victoriously as she walked behind them to help load the boxes on their arms and directed them as they went up the elevator. “Thank you so much guys, I owe you guys drinks” she said to the curious guys who kept looking around in awe, this was their first time ever coming to the last floor, the CEO’s own space that looked like another world of its own. “Sure thing” they chorused together absentmindedly as she opened the little storage room by the side for them to keep the boxes which they also did absently, it was not until they were going down that someone broke the silence “Even the air there feels different” “Yeah” the others agreed “You’re back early, dropping the first box I see” Clark said coming out of his office, hands in his pocket. “Actually, it’s all the boxes mister Anderson” she replied, using both hands to gesture at the open storeroom where the boxes had been arranged. Clark clenched his fist. “Here, take this” he handed her an address card and his black card “I want my lunch in the next thirty minutes” Catra eyed the address “but this restaurant is…” the door banging had her looking up “somewhere next town” she pouted. Twenty minutes later she was back with the food, humming happily as she sets the table inside Clark’s office as he instructed. Clark walked up to the table looking defeated as he took his seat, Catra smiled at him. “That was fast” he commended to which Catra shrugged “I got a quick and straight forward lift from the company to the restaurant and luckily the car owner turned out to be the restaurant’s manager” she answered gleefully, “long story short, he cut through the line for me and got my order” “you are quite efficient and useful miss Catra” Clark couldn’t help complimenting her as he picked up his cutlery up from the table. “Of course, I cannot be who I hate sir, an inefficient, slow and lazy person” Clark paused midway cutting his food as those very same words rang through his head from his past memories. “You should know by now Clark, the type of people I hate and can’t stand” princess Catra said her back to the man “someone who is inefficient, slow and lazy” “I’m sorry my lady” Clark grunted as he tried to sit up “it won’t happen again” Catra turned around and walked closer to his still struggling to sit up form, and gently pushed him to lie back down. “Just remember Clark, no matter how good you think you are at what you do” she said softly “when it comes to the royal home you are not irreplaceable” She patted his shoulder before walking away, leaving in her wake a heavy lump in his throat and a chill in his spine. He huffed suddenly and gripped his spoon hard “Have a wonderful lunch break miss Catra” he dismissed her to which she nodded and headed straight for the door. Clark watched as her pony tailed hair bounced with her as she moved, her slender figure showing through the tightness of her clothes, he swallowed. ‘This version of Catra even though she looked way too simple compared to her past life, she still looks se…’ “I almost forgot” Catra suddenly stopped and said causing the man to quickly catch the brakes on his thought with the screeching sound that manifested as him choking on his food. “Are you okay sir?” Catra asked concerned as she watched him frantically gulp down water “I’m fine, what is it” he asked “This came in for you earlier today” she reached inside her purse to bring out something “an invitation letter to a business party”
