A butterfly in her cocoon,🦋
She lets out a yawn as she finishes making the pancakes for her family breakfast, which apparently would be eaten hours after Liah leaves the house because everyone is fast asleep. She walks up the stairs and wakes her youngest brother, helps him into his uniform and puts his lunch and school bag ready as he eats his breakfast. rushing out of the bathroom she bumps into her stepmother who is not pleased obviously "Sorry mother, I was in a hurry" "Liah I have always told you not to behave like your illiterate mother, always watch what you do and conduct it with respect" Anna scolds her looking angrily at the girl. "yes mother", She quickly replies and walks to her bedroom to get her bag and run off to the only place she got a few hours of peace and where she would not have to struggle to fit in, her school.
Liah had lived with her father and stepmother since she was barely even two years old because her own mother didn't want a girl child and had abandoned her moving to the States just an year after Liah had turned one. Since then the only mother she had known was her sister who mostly took care of her when she was younger but when Liah turned fifteen she too left when she got married into another country. From then till date the twenty year old had no choice but to stay with the woman who despicably looked at her whenever they crossed paths. Arriving at School she sits down next to her best friend in class and as usual Courtney has "boy issues" to whine about. She frowns at her friend and Liah let's out a laugh "Didn't I tell you that love is a waste of time why don't you let that be and focus on your life?" "Liah why don't you stop with being my mother and tell me why Andrew doesn't act like a total great boyfriend?"
