A wave of relaxation washed over me as my friend stayed true to her word, honoring our agreement. Maddox smiled brightly and poked my nose.
“Yes, you were right, Kitten. Catherine doesn’t break her word.”
Although Maddox asked me to take some rest, I tagged along. My curiosity was fueling my courage to walk in the long corridors despite fatigue. I was exhausted after reaching the throne hall.
