Isabelle stared at Jack’s lifeless body and realized that it was over.

She barely heard the door open or noticed that someone had come in, all she could think of was breathing a huge sigh of relief that she managed to pull the trigger on time. If she had hesitated for even a half of a second, she would be the one with the bullet wound on the head for sure.
