Isabelle watched keenly as Jack eyed her as if she was insane. He chuckled before going near her, crouching so that they were at eye level. She could now see a sliver of emotion behind his cold eyes; it was excitement. She did not shrink away as Jack leaned closer until their noses were almost touching.
“I would love to see you try,” he murmured, taunting her with a smirk.
Isabelle grinned, pulled back her head and then smashed it against Jack, head-butting him directly on the face. She could feel pain radiating from her forehead through her skull but she managed to keep herself alert as she watched Jack stagger backward, holding his nose which was spurting blood.
