VALENTINE my morning started like any other morning, pulling an all-nighter the night before to complete a project , and waking up at exactly 5 o'clock to get ready for work. I waerily got myself out of bed to get a much-needed cup of coffee, jumped in the shower and got dressed. lost in my thoughts about what I'd orders for breakfast from the deli downstairs I was abruptly interrupted by my blue-haired Caucasian roommate who happens to be my best friend. Bitch!! "where you off to so early in the morning" she lazily teased. work!! you should try it sometime i jokingly added. you know you love my lazy ass she slapped back. Grabbing my papers and bag i raced out the door yelling lord knows that's true. ****** It's now 6 o'clock I had 30 minutes to get to work ,so I rushed downstairs to marki's Deli which had the best turkey and ham club sandwiches in all of Miami , thats what I bought with extra cheese. I ordered myself a Uber and I was off to work. in less than 10 minutes I arrived, I was standing in front of the most prestigious magazine company (DAILY JUICE) with all the freshly squeezed gossip. most people would kill for this job, don't get me wrong I love my job but I don't get to have a life with all the work I have to do.I met James, the manager, my only friend in this hellhole i called work in the elevator. "girl what's for breakfast" he greedily questioned. turkey and ham from marki's with extra cheese i replied. "you're a lifesaver, Liam hates cooking all he does is sleep I get off work late and go home to a half-eaten box of cold pizza every night and him sleeping on the couch" he said almost in tears. "I hate that guy, I don't like the way he treats you, you deserve someone better, like Bruce from Department B downstairs!!, I see the way you guys look at each other" I teased. he blushed walking out the now open elevator door he turned around and said with a smile on his face "playing Cupid eh!! me like. I laughed and walked over to my desk and started working, the day passed by in a haze i was so tired I didn't know when I fell asleep I was awakened to my boss yelling my name from his office which overlooks all the workers stations "MY OFFICE NOW" he shouted with a voice that shook the entire building and sent shivers down my spine, without time to wonder if it was a good feeling or not I wiped the thought out of my head and sprinted towards his office. I entered his office with my head down staring at my boots to avoid eye contact, it wasn't a rule not to i just preferred it this way, i lifted my head and standing before me stood a sixfoot five muscular dark-skinned goddess with a chest so hard it's illegal but none of this mattered because he was not my type, but that still didn’t change the fact that his hotness sent chills through my body. he slowly walked towards me grabbing my waist and spung me around and pinned me against his desk, where's my afternoon scoop Valentina" he seductively whispered into my ear with his bulge pressing deep into my thigh, uh.. si.. sir I fumbled to get out. spit it out!! am I making you uncomfortable? he asked with raised Eyebrows. I reassuringly asked. yes I'd like that what's her name he asked. Avril i stated she has blue hair i said laughing i love her though. blue hair!, huh..he said with a chuckle.so the news I have for you today is , ski jasper copied a upcoming make-up designer's new signature look "smoke eyes ,drip lip the look of tomorrow" I announced . that'll do just fine Mrs maxwell have Bruce get some pictures off the internet and have it published like yesterday we're way behind he order . no problem boss and please call me val after all we're soon to be brother and sister in law . I walked out his office he shouted after me thanks again pausing before he said "val" as if he wasn't sure if he wanted to call me that I smiled and left.
