Why was Olivia here? I told her to stay from away from Derek. She has always thought that she has had some claim on him. I was going to have to have a word to James. Maybe he should be here as well. After all, he was still Beta, even though Marcus was the general of the army. The kingdom was too large for it to be controlled by one person.
“James, are you busy with patrol?”
“No Beatrice, is everything ok?”
“We are having a meeting about holding a conference. I think you need to be here for that.” I said to him.
“Sorry Beatrice, but I am in charge of training today. Is it ok if Olivia steps in for me? After all, she is the next in line to be Beta when I retire.” He said to me. Why did I get the feeling that this was a setup?
