He Called Me Wife. Disaster Engagement Series Book 5.

Episode 36

POV Lydia

It was the morning of the wedding and I couldn’t believe the big day had actually arrived. Although it was a lot earlier than I expected it to be I was still excited. I sat and looked at myself in the mirror when she walked in wearing her dress. “Mum what do you think?” She asked with a spin and she truly took my breath away because she was so beautiful “Joey you are exquisite. Honestly baby you are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen” “thanks Mum” she came towards me and I grabbed her into a big hug and I didn’t want to let her go. And although he was a great boy I couldn’t get over the fact that I was losing my baby girl. “I have something for you, I wore it on my wedding day” I took out the little jewellery box and and helped her on with the pendant and chain “it was your dads Gran’s pendent and it means the world to me. It can be your something old and something blue” “and something borrowed” she said running her fingers over the delicate chain “no baby I want you to keep it” “it’s beautiful Mum thank you” my Joey was the most confident girl in the world but she looked a little nervous. “Mum tell me about your wedding day?” She asked and I could tell she just wanted me to distract her from her anxiety “It was the best day of my life. Me and daddy had just found out I was pregnant with Frankie and we couldn’t wait to get married to each other. It was a really special day. I remember before the ceremony I sat and thought about all the years that daddy and I had known each other and how much we loved each other but didn’t have the balls to say it. But we are soul mates and I believe what ever life throws at you love will always win. And baby I believe you guys are soul mates” her eyes filled up with tears “let’s not cry you will ruin your make up. Tell me about your first date” I sat beside her as she smiled and told me their whole love story and it was lovely, but it didn’t have a patch on my love story with Fran I thought to myself with a chuckle.
