With My Thoughts

Athena's POV

After finding out Marco is Kylo's older brother, I just feel like I need to talk to him. I mean he was there for me when I didn't even want to get out of bed. So, this morning I went downstairs and was hoping to see my mate, but it was mostly other wolves coming in to eat breakfast before training.

I go up to one of the maids walking outside the kitchen, "Hey, have you seen Ky—, Alpha Kylo, I mean?"

She shakes her head. "He headed off early this morning to do something. He left in a hurry too."

I nod and head back upstairs.

He really doesn't want to talk to me. About anything that happen yesterday. I make it into my room and it's abnormally cold. I look around and I find the source, my window is open. I'm not dumb, so I face backwards to the window and slowly close it. And as I expected somebody is here.

"He said you were too smart for your own good." Some random tall guy said, while coming out of my closet.

"Look, I know you're not a wolf of the kingdom, so what does Marco want?" I asks calmly.

"You." Was what he said before he tried to grab me. I saw that coming from a mile away.

I dodge that lousy attack and punch him in the guts, once he retracted back I roundhouse him. Looking at the guy trying to get up off the floor, I punch him unconscious. And YES he is unconscious.

I hopped over his body and tried to call Kylo. His phone went blank, so I called Cal because I know he'll answer.

"Hey Athena. What's up?" Cal asked.

"I just caught a rogue in my room." I say my voice sounding breathless.

"I'm on my way." Cal said last, and his line clicked.

I guess other wolves outside could smell the rogue because I heard footsteps to my room, a lot of footsteps. The next second my door was busted open.

"Wow, no knock?" I say sarcastically

"Sorry, we smelled a rogue and thought something bad was happening." The guy standing at my door said with I think almost every wolf in the pack behind him.

"Well, it was just him, but we should check and see if anyone was with him. He came through my window. And I need chains to keep him restrained." I say.

"Right on it." Everybody moves and two guys help with the rogue. As we get to the basement door I hear Cal call out for me. I tell the other two to go ahead without me.

"Over here!" I call out.

Cal rushes to me, "Are you ok? Hurt? What did he want? Where is Kylo?" He asks so many questions at once I couldn't hear any of them.

"Cal calm down I'm fine. I handled it before it was even a problem. I called you because Kylo wasn't answering his phone." I say trying to calm him down.

"Where is he anyway. He should be here." As soon as Cal asked about him, the man of the hour walks through the door.

"What the hell is going on? Why is everyone going around like it's a goose chase." Kylo asks and Cal immediately stands in front of me.

"Athena was damn near attacked by a rogue in her room, she handled it. Although she did call you, but no answer." Cal did a fake laugh while saying the last sentence. Kylo look upset. No, not upset, he looked angry, like he wanted to tear Cal apart.

I stepped in front of Cal, showing my face to Kylo even though he was still staring Cal down.

"I am fine. The rogue is downstairs and everyone else is looking for any other rogues." I spoke out. Kylo looked at me with curious eyes, but just walked past me to the basement. I turned to Cal, "Stay here for a while, I'm gonna need some moral support after handling this." Cal nodded and went outside to help.

I walked in the basement and saw Kylo talking to the rogue.

"Protecting her won't stop him from doing what needs to be done." The rogue said.

"I let the last girl live, but not with you." Kylo put his claw next to the guy's throat.

"Wait!" I say from behind Kylo.

"Get out of here, this is not the place for you to be right now." Kylo said with gritted teeth.

I stepped towards the rogue, "Is Marco planning to kill me or not?" I asked the rogue.

He looks at me then smiles, "He knows your power darling, he has more plans for you than you think. And he won't stop until he has you in his hands, and him dead." After the last sentence came out of his mouth Kylo had already sliced his throat. I started to head back upstairs, but a hand grabbed my arm.

"What is wrong with you? I had got the information I needed already." Kylo said sternly.

"Yep, you got the information you needed, and I got the information I needed. Now let me go." I pull my arm away and try to walk upstairs, and he just stands in front of me.

"Okay. I know I ignored you, but don't do this, orr whatever you're about to do." He said pleading.

"I don't think you have the right to tell me what to do right now. I didn't do anything wrong, and you ignored me for what? Your older brother is my ex, don't you think we should talk about that sometime?" I saw Kylo's jaw clench when I said ex.

"Okay, I'm a dumba*s, but it's not something I like to talk about." He said.

"Welp, you know where I am when you do want to talk about it." I said with finality in my voice.
