Hailey POV

"I can't believe you are leaving, I feel like there is a hole in my heart now that you are leaving, I mean we have been friends for almost two decades," Lisa said to me as she was crying her eyes out 

"You are acting like, we are no longer going to be best friends, you will always be my number one," I told her and pointed out the number one 

"I just said that I will have no one to talk to when I am at school, or I will have no one to take to the mall or even no one to advise me about not eating unhealthy foods" she cried 

I hated seeing her friend, I am also very sad that I would be leaving if it was up to me I would stay, with her and her family. But knowing my mother very well she would probably say no because I am her only family. Mother and I are moving to New York City today because my mother got a job as a nurse for some rich man whose son needs her help 24/7. when I first heard about the boy my mother would be helping a boy who is like 4 years old but when I heard my mother talking about how old the boy was I was shocked because I wondered what he was actually suffering from. But at least my mother would be getting good money and also we would be leaving in the house where she is working for free because the boy would need her attention. 

"stop crying you Silly girl I am also going to cry if you cry" I laughed while I dried my tears 

"I am sorry I just can't help it, I can't leave without you seriously you are my other half," she said to me and pulled me into a hug 

"Hailey baby the car is here to take us" my mother shouted from downstairs 

I looked back at Lisa and she had the saddest look on her face  

"I guess this is it.....don't cry please I promise I will try my best to come to visit you as much as I can......believe it or not I can't live with you too. " I joked and we Both laughed 

She walked me to the car outside and she hugged my mother and she then said bye to her and then me and we hugged for like a good 3 mins and then broke apart. and when I got into the car I couldn't help but cry my eyes out because I loved that girl very much. 

"Don't cry baby girl everything is going to be okay I promise you?" my mother told me 

I felt a little bit better but I was still very hurt. At least I and my Mother would have a clean beginning. 

My mother had me when she was only 16 and when her mother found she was pregnant she kicked her out and when she told my father who was like 28 years old he gave her money and then ran away with her family. So it is just me and my mother from day one, and I thank god for her and also for this wonderful job she was able to receive.

6 hours later 

"Hailey Hailey we are here baby wake up" my mother was shaking me so I could wake up. 

I looked around me and then got out of the car looking at the new house I am going to be leaving in. it didn't give me this feeling in New York City because it looked like it was so secluded from the city like they did want to be part of the city. But I could at least see the statue of liberty from where I was standing. 

"Hailey, help me grab the bags so we can get in, please remember what I told you in the car," she said to me and gave me that look 

"yes, I must stay out of your way at all times and not give funny looks when I am looking at the boy," I said

"The boy's name is actually called Gabriel Rubio, you should use that thing where you search for things on your phone," she said to me 

"Mom you mean Google" I chuckled 

"exactly you can now put my money to good use," she said and knocked on the door
