Concerned about Mallory's explosive reaction, I tried to calm the situation and restrain her. I hugged her from behind, holding her arms to prevent her from continuing to destroy her own house.
"Mallory, please, calm down! Destroying your house won't solve anything," I pleaded loudly, trying to overpower the noise of things breaking. "You need to calm down. Why are you saying and doing these things? Have you forgotten the terrible things Joshua did to you in the past? Do you still want him despite that? Weren't you the one telling me to convince Cassie to stay away from him because he's not a good person?" I tried to calm her down and bring her back to her senses.
