Chapter 30 1911, Southampton Adan Noble adjusted his tie as he walked down the corridor to the judge’s office. One was only called to a judge’s office with particularly good news or particularly bad news. He didn’t know what this meeting might be about. He entered the office and saw the judge’s clerk serving tea. The judge motioned him in to sit in the chair next to him. “Mr. Noble, thank you for joining me,” the judge greeted him. “Thank you for the invitation, sir,” he answered, trying to hide the nervousness in his tone. “One lump or two?
