Leander healed from his assault and returned to the community cell. At first, the assailants kept their distance and left him alone. Soon, the harassment started again.
Much like the first time, the bullying began with verbal assaults. Then the physical abuse started. At first it was minor, but soon it escalated. Only if the noise interrupted the guards in their reading or card games was the violence stopped. One night, there were neither guards nor fellow prisoners to come to his rescue.
