She quickly walked out of the door with her bag. When she just got on the bus, her phone ranged.
She picked out the phone from a pocket of her trouser's and looked at the screen,
An unknown number is flashing on the screen, she rejected the call thinking of, it will be a promotional or advertisement call for credit cards. She didn’t bother more about that call.
The bus stopped near a tall building, it’s the company building where she works. She came out of the bus looked at the building, turned and walk in the building.
She has always been very punctual about her work, so she came on time every day.
The employees of the company need to punch in their id's prior 10 minutes the reporting time. Her punctuality and well-mannered personality have impressed her seniors many times. Few people find her envious as they used to bully her for the same.
She reached her workplace there is a small table with two computers on its and few files piled up on the table. She put down her bag on the side of the table, started looking for today’s work.
She opened the topmost file, giving a look at all the details, it looks like the company has got many more new projects, her job is to update all the latest company's information on the system.
"Hey Anna," a sweet voice came close to her,
She turned, it was Molly one of her colleague.
"Hi Molly", Molly sat on a chair next to Anna Both share the same workplace to work.
"Is anything new today?" Molly asked while looking at her computer screen.
Anna didn’t look at her, she just pointed her hand on the huge pile of files and continued typing
Molly knew that Anna is quite conservative and don’t like to converse,
"Ooh" Molly Sighed, looking into a file
We going to have loads of work now onwards and Started typing the documents. Her typing speed is just amazing.
Both are very considerate about work,
Their single typing mistake can lead to a great loss to the company and they can’t afford to offend their Boss. It’s not easy to find a new job in this country.
More or less both are working deliberately for money.
Tring Tring…
"Good afternoon, This is Molly how can I help you??"
Answered the office landline phone.
"We will report on time, thank you."
Placed the receiver back.
"Anna looked at her" "what happened?" she asked.
"As I told you workload going to increase.Boss called us to report him within 15 minutes. Put your system on stand by and let’s go." She conveyed the message submissively to Anna.
Anna did as said and followed Molly with a notepad and a pen.
They headed towards the elevator.
why are you taking the elevator? Anna asked furiously
Boss is waiting in the President office on the 4th floor.
"She got her answer from Molly,"
Anna quietly followed her to the presidential office.
Molly knocked at the President's office door asked for permission.
"Can we come in?"
"Come in." their Boss called them in.
Molly opened the door and stunned to see the group of official sitting around the conference table.
They didn’t expect all of them to be here.
Anna's face turned pale as she is always afraid of the crowd, both entered the room and close the door.
"Gentlemen this is Ms Molly Smith and Ms Anna Woods. They are designated to update the company's system." Mr Brook introduces the ladies to the group.
Both bowed down and greeted the official.
"Take your sit both of you," Mr Brook directed them towards their assigned chairs.
"Before we proceed I would like all to go through a presentation," Mr Brook drew everyone's attention to the big screen.
Everybody in the room deliberately implied the agenda of that presentation.
"Hope you all understood today's agenda."
Mr Brown Addressed the group.
Everyone nodded in a similar manner.
"So by this presentation, you will get to know that our company going to have a merger with B&B group of company’s."
"Our new President will soon join us."
“I want you all to complete your work without any mistake before the arrival of our new President” He instructed solemnly.
His secretary handed a file to Anna.
"Ms Woods this file has all the names and details about the merger. I want this to be updated max by tomorrow." Mr Brown ordered her in a composed manner.
"Yes, Boss."
Anna nodded, holding the file.
"You both can leave now."
Anna and Molly walked out of the presidential office.
