MALIA POV.
The doctor was shaking from fear as and I was sure that part of it was adrenalin as well. I glanced down the corridor to make sure that the coast was clear before we ran for the stairs. There were elevators, but I felt that it would be safer to use the stairs and the chance to run into enemy wolves would be less since I didn't feel up to my old self yet to take on multiple attackers.
We hurried up the stairs until we came to the next level and my breathing was as hard as the doctor's. I opened the door ajar to the next level but closed it gently again when I saw wolf running down the corridor and told her to wait. This also gave us the opportunity to catch our breaths.
