Chapter 1

"Mom , where is my red dress ?". I said to my mother . It's my first day of university . So I decided to wear a red dress , which I wore on my sister's birthday . It's old but the middle class family uses it 5-6 times . That was not new for me.

My mom replied "Honey , it's in the closet on the 3rd rack and get ready fast for breakfast

I screamed "Okay !" .

I found the red dress but it was too short for me now . I think I should wear the new dress which I wanted to wear at my uncle's wedding . But it's okay , my uncle's daughter doesn't study at my university .

I changed the clothes and went downstairs . My mom was serving the food on the table .

She was sweaty but that was normal . She has a lot of work to do . She works hard for me . My father is not in this world . He died when I was 4 . From that time my mom cares for me . She is a delivery woman . So she comes back from her shift at night.

Flavia - I cooked your favorite , Noodles .

Mel - Not now . I'm already late , so I'm leaving . I have taken my $2 and I'll buy something from the cafeteria.

Flavia - Hey , listen ! .

Mel - Bye mom ! .

I went out of the home and took the car out of the garage . It was my second time driving . I hope that I won't crash anyone .

The university is just a 15 minute drive from my home . So my mom allows me to go to university, this is the first reason and the second reason is that my school friend , David also studies in that university . My mom is a fan of him . She even wants me to marry him but I'm not interested, i wanna study and get a big job . These words are easy to say but hard to do .

Especially when you are from a middle class family . My mom paid my admission fee from her last savings of $50. And now the college is free for me because I have the scholarship. Like 50 dollars for 2 years is a great deal for rich people but not for people like us .

I want to be a fashion designer but my mom wants me to be a doctor . So that's why I'm in this university .

Doing these talks , I reached my university . It was fresh breathing . I entered through the main gate .

I saw my friend , David there . He was waiting for me . He was wearing a black shirt with beige pants , which was his favorite combination from the birth.

David shuffled his hands up .

I ran towards him but suddenly , a girl came. She was one and only , Juliet . She was so annoying, she was a thief too . I'm remembering all those days .

Juliet - Hey , Mel ! . Co-incidence . Right ?

David scuffs , and says "Juliet you still haven't changed but Mel is."

Mel - She wouldn't change in this era . Lol .

Juliet - Whatever .

David - Lol those school days when we all sat together and Juliet's boyfriend messed up everything .

Mel - By the way where is your boyfriend , Juliet ?

Juliet made a sad face and replied "He cheated on me" ...

Mel - Oh , I'm so sorry.

David - (speaking in Mel's ear ) She deserves it .

Mel - (Scoffs) . Our first lecture is about biology so let's get in . We will talk in recess.

We entered the classroom but still all those school memories were roaming in my mind . They are unforgettable, especially that of New York city's tour .

Our school arranged a trip to New York City , me and Juliet were in one room next to David's and Juliet's boyfriend's room. We both heard some scary voices from David's room .

We rushed to the principal's room and knocked on the door. She opened the door and we told her about the incident .

She then knocked on David's room. They were thankfully alive but they were watching Annabelle . The principal scolded them and closed their Netflix account permanently for 1 day .

That memory is one of the best memories .

David was funny from the start but Juliet was totally opposite of him . She was too annoying and always jealous of me . Let's see how it ends ?
