Chapter 13 2015Mary’s own teeth woke her on the third night, trying to chatter out of her skull. The tent was just as freezing cold as every other time, but she had her sleeping bag to herself. If these crazy dreams had to be so damn frigid, she wished the girl would share what little body heat she had. Or at least tell her why she kept coming back. She flipped her flashlight on and nearly screamed at the dark shape huddled by her feet. The girl didn’t blink or try to cover her eyes when Mary swung the beam that way. She only sat there, bare arms around her bare legs, chin resting on her knees.
