BY THE TIME SETH and I got back, Sekhmet had joined Magnus and her daughter and they all sat around the mansion. They were obviously waiting for me, Sekhmet and Magnus lounging on the terrace, enjoying some sweet tea, Hesrah pacing around, looking nervous and guilty.
“I am so sorry, Alexa,” she said and came running to me the moment she saw me. I let her hug me and eventually returned the embrace.
