I HAD LEFT LOUIS’S APARTMENT without a note, and never called or emailed after that. I hadn’t wanted to leave any trace, as if I had never been there. Passionate as it might have been, the only real conversation we’d had in a long while had been… well, him pointing out how I had changed.
