The missing CEO

the new job

After lunch was over. A board meeting was called. The meeting was about choosing the new Ceo's personal assistant. All the other girls were overjoyed except for Andrea. Even though the assistant will be paid twice as their earnings, Andrea wasn't convinced to apply for this position. She kept sulking silently as Daniel was talking.

She hates the new CEO, she wishes to switch companies. After the meeting was over, every girl in the company rushed to get their names into the application form. The assistant will be announced in the next few days.

*** in country M***

Emily was preparing for her interview today. She couldn't sleep last night as she was both nervous and excited. When she got ready this morning, she waited for Tomika to arrive and tell her about few things. When Emily heard a knock from the door, she quickly went to open it.

" Good morning, miss." a voice came outside when the door opens.

" Morning, Tomika" Emily smiled and led the way to the living room.

They sat down.

" I hope you are going to take care a good care of him."

" Don't worry, I'm gonna treat him like an egg." her smile was convincing making her bad intentions impossible to see.

" Okay so, he's still asleep right now but when he woke up, please make sure his breakfast is ready. You have to feed him actually." the last sentence Emily said in embarrassment.

" okay" Tomika nodded in understanding.

" After his breakfast. He needs to take his medicine. I left them on the counter in the kitchen. Next.. I know this is gonna sound weird but you have to bathe him. "

Tomika listen carefully.

" At lunch, this is what you have to make him..." Emily gave her a piece of paper with how she must make his lunch.

Tomika looked at the paper in her hands and smirked.

Emily continues... " I'll be home... maybe around 3pm." she looked at her wrist, it was time to go.

Before she left, she went to say goodbye to Little Cub who was pretending to be asleep. She kissed him on the forehead before closing the door.

When she left her house she took a cab to the company. When she got there she was shown to the interviewer's office. She took a deep breath in before knocking.

When she was told to get in, she got really nervous. She put her head down when she walks in. The interviewer wasn't what Emily expected. When she took a quick glance at him she was shocked inside. She didn't expect the interviewer to be this young.

He looked at her for a moment before saying..." Emily, right?" his voice was deep and soft at the same time.

" yes" Emily nodded right away.

" you're 25 of age?"

" Yes" All Emily could say is yes.

He looked at her for a second before asking another question." You came from Country L, You are currently single, you were fired from your last job because you were accused."

Emily was mouth was wide open. How did he know about everything? She nodded and said..." Yes...That's true"

The interviewer looked at her one last time before saying..." You're hired." After he said that he went to the shelf and took out a stack of papers and gave them to Emily to sort them out.

Emily was stuck on the spot. She didn't understand the interview, he only asked a few simple questions about her and now she was already hired? And seeing the stack of papers given to her, does that mean she has to start today? Emily was totally confused.

" Do I have to start today?" she asked nervously.

" Bring them to me when you're done" he said opening the door for her to leave. " Jack will show you your temporarily office."

Emily took the stack of papers and left. She couldn't help but wonder what's going on.

*** at Emily's house***

After Emily left, tomika sat down lazily on the couch and switched on the tv. When Jim was tired of sleeping and he got hungry. He struggled to get out of the bed to his wheel chair. When he got to the kitchen, he saw nothing was in the pots. His face went cold.

" Not only she's unkind but she also didn't make breakfast." Jim screamed inside his head. He went to the living room and saw tomika with her feet on the table. Jim's face immediately turned cold.

When Tomika saw Jim, she just looked at him for a second before going back to what she was watching. Jim stood there for a while before going to the kitchen to make his own food. He put hot water in a bowl and some noodles before heating it in the microwave.

After it was cooked, he went to the living and ate his noodles. After that he took his medicine and went back to the living.

When it was lunch time, Tomika her own thing instead of cooking what Emily wrote her. Jim just looked at the food in front and looked away in disgust. When Tomika saw this she just laughed instead.

" Haha, You have to get used to it because I'll be cooking this every day." she said smiling at her self proudly.

Jim looked at him with a cold expression on his face. He just wished that Emily can come back early. He already missed her and her cooking.

When it was lunch time, Emily was not done yet and decided to call Tomika to check on how she's doing. After a few rings, it connected.

" Hey, Tomika."

" oh hey, miss"

" You can call me Emily by the way. How's everything going?"

" Everything is fine." she said glaring at Jim coldly.

" Can I speak to my Little Cub, please." she said flipping around the papers.

" Sure. no problem."

When Jim saw Tomika giving him the phone, he guessed it was Emily. He put the phone in his ear happily.

" Hey my Little Cub. I hope you're doing okay in Tomika's care. Just want you to know that I'm coming home soon, okay. And I miss you already. Bye."

Hearing her saying that she missed him made his smile impossible to wipe off his face. His heart melted and gave the phone back to Tomika unwillingly.

" Did you bathe him already?" Emily asked sitting back at her chair.

" I was about to just now." she responded glaring at Jim in disgust.

" Has he had already his lunch?"

" yes, he did." Tomika was already annoyed with the so many questions she was asking.

" Okay. But just wanted to let you know that I'll be home around 4:30 so could you watch him till then for me please?"

After hearing this she rolled her eyes and said... " okay then, I will see you at 4:30 then."

" Bye"

After hearing Tomika saying that Emily will come home a bit later, his smile vanished. He didn't know he was going to end up like this after he he got drank the other night.

Tomika went to the bathroom and prepared his bath. When she went to pick him up. Jim refused and made himself stiff making it harder for Tomika to lift him up. He didn't want anyone else to bathe him except for Emily. After a few struggles Tomika gave up and went to the kitchen to get water. Jim laughed in his head.

At the office, Emily was finishing up the sorting the papers when jack peeked in.

" Boss said you must be done before lunch is over" after saying this he left.

When she was done she went to the so called boss to hand in her work. On the way Emily wondered what he looks like. She didn't not take a good look at him when she came in today. She only took some few quick peeks and glances at him. When she gets to the door she knocks a few times before she was allowed to enter.

After entering his office she gave him the papers she sorted. He quickly went over them. When he was busy looking at the papers, Emily decided to seize this opportunity to take a good look at him. When she did her jaw dropped....
