The missing CEO

Her boss look similar to Jim

She completely froze on the spot. She couldn't believe what was going on. She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her.

" No it can't be?" she said to herself silently.

Everything the man had looked similar to Jim. Her mind was on fire right now.

Feeling something is looking at him. Jason looked at Emily who was still trying to recover from her shock. He looked at her and said lazily...

" I know I'm handsome, but that doesn't mean your eyes must be glued on me."

Hearing what he just said she nodded embarrassingly and scratched the back of her head.

After he was done he tells her to get him a cup of coffee and told her how he likes his coffee.

" 1 teaspoon of sugar and 3 teaspoons of coffee, not too cold and not too hot."

Emily left his office still thinking about him and Jim. She ended up in the females bathroom. When she saw that she was in the bathroom she didn't know what she was going to do there until she remembers the coffee her boss sent her to buy.

She went back to Jack's room and asked him where is the cafeteria. He gave her directions and went back to his own things. When she got to the cafeteria, which is down stairs the company. She forgets what kind of coffee she should get. As he was telling her she wasn't listening at all, her mind was somewhere else. She tried to recall what the boss said, but nothing appeared. She decided to take a random guess and said to the lady on the counter...

" half teaspoon of coffee and 3 teaspoons of sugar, and make it extra hot please. " She wasn't sure about the order but she had to order something anyway. If she goes back to him and ask what he said, he might fire her. After all, he doesn't look friendly.

After she got the coffee she rushed back afraid it was going to get cold if she slowed down. When she got to the door she knocked and a second later she was allowed to get in. She gave him his coffee nervously and stood back. Jason saw the nervous look on her face and asked..

" Why are you so nervous? You didn't remember what I told you to order, did you?"

Emily quickly denied and shook her head.

" No no. I ordered it just like you asked me to." she smiled awkwardly as she was caught off guard.

"Good." was his only respond. He picked up the coffee and was going to drink it.

Emily swallowed her saliva as she was about to lose her job. She crossed both her fingers and toes. When Jason took a sip of the coffee, he immediately sprayed it out of his mouth. Unfortunately Emily didn't get wet as he turned to the other side.

He wiped his mouth and glared at her with burning flames in his eyes. When Emily saw this look she shrieked and laughed awkwardly.

" hehe. Was the coffee that bad?"

Jason got up from his chair and walked towards Emily. His cold eyes made Emily frightened and moved backwards until she was pinned to the wall by Jason. She was so scared to death. He moved his face closer to hers, and when Emily saw this she immediately shut her eyes preparing for the worst. Surprisingly, Jason only whispered in her these words before letting her free.

" Next time, be sure to listen." when he looked at her face he couldn't help but to laugh inside. She looked childishly and cute. What did she think I was going to do with her? He chuckles to himself.

When Emily saw that she has been tricked she buried her anger inside her. She quickly tidy up herself and asked if she could leave. But before she could leave, Jason handed her a two page long contract and told her it must be signed by tomorrow.

After leaving his office Emily felt a relief and sort of confusion about what just happened. On her way to the office she bumped into one of her colleagues, Mila.

" ahh watch where you're going" she said in dissatisfied tone.

" Sorry I didn't see you." Emily immediately apologized.

Mila looked at her up and down in disdain. She could swore she was a cheap girl by just looking at her clothes.

" No way, your clothes are so cheap, I would be caught dead wearing this kinda cheap things "

Emily has met a lot of people like her so she didn't pay too much attention at her and walked passed her instead. Mila saw that her words have not shook her a bit and wanted to continue. She grabbed her hand and pulls her back.

" Wait who said I'm don...", before she could finish her sentence, she smelt a familiar fragrance. She tries to remember who smells like this and realized that there was only one person who smells like this. It was their boss. She chuckled angrily.

" You have only been here for a couple of hours and you are already seducing our boss?"

Hearing her false accusation, Emily quickly breaks her hand free from her tight grip and said expressionlessly with confident.

" I have been only here for a couple of hours and you are already falsely accusing me of seducing the boss?"

Mila huffed and responds...

" Then explain why do you smell like him?"

Emily had no other reason but to say..." What if my husband uses the same perfume?"

" How can your husband afford to buy such an expensive perfume if he can't even afford to buy you proper clothes."

Jack was passing by and noticed the girls quarrelling. He stopped and said... " Is this what the boss pays you to do?"

Both of them went silent and huffed at each other before going their separate ways.

After work Emily was so tired when she got home. Jim was in the living room watching a movie while Tomika was in the kitchen talking to someone else on the phone. When she got in her eyes landed to Jim who saw her and smiled happily.

She walks to him and and gave him a hug.

" aww what is my little Cub been doing all day while I was away?" she asked as she pinched his cheeks softly. When she saw his smile she hugged him one more time before asking about Tomika.

When Tomika hears Emily's voice she drops the call and rushed to the living room.

" hey Emily. you're back? " her voice was so tender making her look even more pretty.

" Yeah. Sorry I came back late. I know I said I would be home earlier but things didn't go as planned." She said recalling everything that happened at the company.

" No worries. I'll be on my way now." she said grabbing her bag.

" bye!"
