I knew in that moment that I couldn't rely on anyone else. Everyone was too busy fighting to notice me, too lost in the chaos to see the rogue closing in on the defenseless child. Panic surged through me, but I forced it down, my mind racing to figure out what to do. Then, something caught my eye-a glint of metal. It was a dagger, discarded in the dirt. My heart skipped a beat as the adrenaline coursed through my veins. I moved toward it, every step slow and deliberate, my body trembling from the sheer tension.
