a fantasy I thought I wanted

chapter 1. the meeting it was a Friday morning and I was headed to the store when I bumped into him. no I meant literally bumped into him. he said excuse me I was in a rush and said my name is proof, as he was talking I was staring at him on a dazed because he had the brightest smile and the perfect set of teeth. all the while I didn't realize he said or ask me my name until he said HELLO, that's when I snapped back to reality and said Pudding he started laughing and said like the snack, I said exactly. as we are exchanging conversations his phone began to ring, he looks at it and takes a deep breath and puts it in his pants pocket and we continue to talk. his phone goes off again and he doesn't acknowledge it so I said are you going to answer that it seems like it's really important someone really wants to talk to you lol. it might be an emergency, he looks up at me and say let's bet it's not emergency and holds out his hand to shake. I looked at him and said what's the bet Proof replied with your phone number I said ok it's a bet and shook his hand. he pulls out his phone and puts it on speaker and says yes mom what's the emergency, I started busting out laughing because his mom said why didn't you answer the phone the first time I called I could of been dying. Proof said mom I'm at the store and you know I don't answer my phone when I'm busy but what is it you want, she replies can you come fix my fan it's blowing out hot air Proof hung up his phone and looked at me and said you lost. a bet is a bet so I grab his phone and put my phone number in it and handed it back to him. we stayed there talking or a half hour enjoying a good conversation until I looked at the time and realized I had to get going because I had a lunch date with my best friend Sam. time has slipped passed me and I didn't care to say the lease, we finally said our goodbyes and said we would call each other that night or the next day. little did I know that I would see Proof again that day. as I'm walking into Sam's house I hear her laughing and a man's voice that sounds so e what familiar. as I proceed inside I see proof sitting o Sam's couch holding my God daughter Love, my eyes got big and I stopped walking, my best friend then runs to me and hugs me excitedly and says Pudding let me introduce you to my fiance Proof who also Love daddy. now as you can imagine how my mind is going through every scenario at this moment. Proof stands up and shakes my hand and says it's nice to meet you, I could not utter a word my breathing begins to hitch and I run into the kitchen to get some water, I snatched my phone out of my purse and immediately deleted his phone number. I felt so guilty because this bastard was her soon to be husband. how was I going to break the news to her, because If he approached me the way he did I'm pretty sure he was comfortable addressing many women while being engaged. I returned to the living room and sat down not trying to be wired or mad at the situation, I asked samis this the reason why you wanted to have lunch she smiled and said yes I wanted you to meet Proof, I sent him to the store to pick up some items giving you time to get here, I'm speechless at this point, but when you called and told me you would be running late because of parking lot guy I said perfect because I had to finish setting up. sam then says you could have brought parking lot guy with you because the way you talked about him you two really hit It off. at this point I wanted the ground to swallow me up . I started choking hearing her statement.. omg what the f**k is happening right now I thought to myself. proof puts love down and walks towards me to pat my back I pushed his hands away from me and whispered don't f*****g touch me bastard. by this time Sam went into the kitchen to set stuff up, Proof tried to explain himself but I was no mood nor did I have anything to say to him, as I'm sitting in the house I'm trying to find a way to get out of here, God must have heard my cry because at that moment my boss called me to see if I wanted to pick up a extra shift, I have never been more happier to hear from my boss I jumped up ran into the kitchen and told Sam I had to go into work someone called off, she was disappointed but understood. as I'm leaving Proof grabs my hand which I tanked back so hard and said don't touch me every again don't ever speak to me unless Sam is around and I stormed out the house. here I am feeling bad and guilty about this cluster f**k of s**t that is happening in from of me even I had no knowledge of who he was but he knew he had a damn finance which is my best friend out of all people. disappointment was beyond what I was feeling. chapter 2. off limits as I leave Sam's house I'm so pissed even though I just met him it was a spark there, we really connected with each other within a half hour but now I know the truth and reality about this situation. Proof is off limits it's time to forget about him and start fresh. I got to work about two hours ago when I received a variety of Text messages I couldn't read until my break, I told myself I would read them when I got home when I reached my car I pulled out my phone and saw a number I didn't recognize. I didn't bother to look at it thinking it was spam, so I tossed my phone on the passenger side while driving my phone goes off again I waited until I reached home to check it. around 9:30 pm my phone is now ringing with the same number that was texting me so I finally answered it. hello I spoke nobody said anything just as I was about to hang up I heard his voice and he said please don't hang up. what the hell why is Proof calling me when I deliberately told him not to. I asked what do you want is how I responded to him I told you to delete my number, I continued to yell over the phone he cut me off and said I can't do that Pudding my attraction to you is real the talk we had for an hour and a half was real and true. I don't care what you think that stuff is over Sam is my best friend and that makes you off limits so please stop calling me and reaching out to me or I will tell Samantha everything and I hung up the phone. a couple of days goes by and I haven't heard anything from him which I thought was great and I felt better about the situation but still I needed to tell Sam about the guy she was going to marry was the problem. I love my best friend but she can be dumb when it comes to love she is the type that gets mad if you say something about her man she calls it being jealous of what she has so it makes it hard to say anything to her while I'm thinking of ways to tell her Sam calls me yelling, screaming and crying I asked her what is going on and tell her to calm down she yells I can't Pudding I'm so hurt and she ask can I come over. so I rush over to her house and run to the door just in time to snatched the lamp she was about to throw. what the hell is going on Samantha she turns around looking a mess her hair is wild and her eyes are puffy and red her mascara running down her face she says proof been cheating on me I caught him. well damn I didn't have to say anything and get talk down about being jealous of them is what I was thinking while she is talking and crying I'm not saying a word because I knew already. I finally asked her how did she catch him she said I heard him on the phone I didn't say anything I just listened to his conversation with the other woman. I'm standing there hoping it was not our conversation she heard, I asked what did you hear while holding my breath she says I heard him tell her he can't stop thinking about her and wanted to be with her while she's talking I realize that was not the conversation we had and the it hit me this fucker has another female wtf. not realizing said damn how bold are you to call another female while staying in your fiancee house she just looked at me then went back to her rant I thought he loved me we have a child together I didn't know what to say to her at this point I just sat there and listen to her cry over a man who was a f*****g cheater and didn't have no remorse on doing it. damn this is getting more and more out of hand. she ask me to spend the night with her so I did, the next morning she was feeling better today and I was glad she was up cooking breakfast and smiling I thought she was over the bastard but no I was wrong hearing heavy footsteps coming down the stairs I looked up and seen who they belong to and looking me in my eyes was proof. WTF is he doing here and why is he here and when did he get here because last time I checked it was just me and you Samantha please explain now. she looked at me and said last night he called apologizing and begging me to take him back, I love him pudding and he loves me to be just made a mistake. I was so irritated with her I just wanted to smack the s**t out of her shark kept talking about how they are supposed to be a family I had enough I threw my hands up and walked out her house I was done with this s**t I was disappointed with my bestie I understand she loves him but it's very clear he doesn't love her back. but what can I say or do, it's none of my business and one day the truth will come out and hopefully she will be able to deal with it.
