Chapter 26 - A Subtle Change
Several days passed aboard the ship. Days that slowly began to blur together. Mira fell into a strange routine. Every morning Seyrin would take her to the medical bay to check her vitals, making sure space travel wasn’t harming her body. Afterward, she would eat in the food bay while Seyrin asked the occasional curious question about Earth. Later in the day, one of the others would spend time with her. Vael often entertained her with playful conversation and sarcastic jokes that somehow always managed to make her laugh. Rethan preferred quieter activities—showing her parts of the ship or letting her sit beside him in the observation room while they talked about distant star systems.
