Chapter 27 - Unexplained
The medical bay lights flickered on as Kaelor entered. Seyrin looked up immediately from one of the diagnostic consoles. “You are early,” he said. Kaelor stepped aside so Mira could enter. “She requires testing.” Seyrin’s eyes moved to Mira. She looked… normal. “Did something occur?” Kaelor’s voice remained calm but firm. “She is behaving differently.” Mira blinked. “I am?” Seyrin gestured toward the examination platform. “Please sit.” Mira climbed onto the smooth surface again, swinging her legs slightly as Seyrin began preparing the scanners. Kaelor stood nearby, watching carefully. Seyrin activated the medical device and moved it slowly over Mira’s body. Soft blue lights passed over her skin as the scanner collected data.
