(Astrid POV) “Would it hurt you if had actually listened to me and got out when I had told you too!” he said as I growled and glared at him. “I was not going to leave you here alone!” I said as he groaned. Another sound of a g*n filled the atmosphere as I couldn’t help but cringe. He held me tight against his chest and he dug his head deeper to my neck. “It's ok” he whispered in my ear as I clenched tight onto his shirt. “Now please for god sake just listen to me once. Stay here. No matter what happens stay here and don’t come out” he said as he separated from me. I could only nod weakly as he smiled and kissed my forehead. “I will come back for you, I promise,” he said as he took a g*n out of his pocket and handed it to me. “For your protection,” he said before taking out another g*n. “Stay alive,” he said kissing my forehead before running to the enemies. I watched through the peephole as he skillfully shot each and every one. I was so busy looking at him that I didn’t notice a man behind me. Hands wrapped around my mouth as a knife was placed on my neck. “One sudden movement and I slice your neck,” he said as I gulp. He dragged me to the open field. “Stop right there or your girlfriend dies” he shouted and Elliot stopped on track before turning to me, his eyes for the first time held real fear. “Elliot!!!” I screamed trying to warn him but it was too late as the man from behind shot him. I screamed as he fell on his knees his eyes never leaving mine. The man once again shot him on the back before he fell to the ground struggling to stand up. By now I was crying and screaming as I tried my best to free myself from my capturers’ grip. Suddenly I felt a throbbing pain in my stomach. I turned around to see the man smirking at me. The knife he held had red blood covering it and I clasped my stomach at the pain before falling on my knees. My eyes started to blur as I fell on the ground. Suddenly I heard the sound of a door opening followed by a series of gunshots. One man was barking orders to get us out and I felt myself being lifted before I welcomed the darkness to blind me. I woke up gasping for air. I looked around and sighed as I saw the familiar green and white striped wallpaper. The same nightmare... I looked at my alarm to see it only 3:00 in the morning. I sighed as I knew I won’t sleep again. I looked at my roommate and saw her sound asleep. I know I can’t turn the lights on since it will wake her up. Instead, I made my way to the window and looked up the bright moon. It’s being 5 years and that nightmare still haunts me. My hands involuntarily went to the scar on my stomach. After I got stabbed, Elliot’s men came and rescued us. I was in a coma for a month. When I woke up the first thing I asked was about him. I felt the world around me crash when they said he was killed in the incident. I wanted to visit his grave at least once but they said he was buried in his home town which was in England. I was in the hospital for another week before I was discharged and my parents, thinking it was best for me, decided we move to another city. I got into a med school intending to become a doctor. I moved from my parent’s house to a shared apartment even though the distance between my med school and house was not so far. “What are you doing by the window?” the voice of my roommate, Lucy, rose as I quickly wiped my tears and turned. “The moon is so damn beautiful. It would have been a waste to not admire it” I said grinning. She raised her eyebrow and looked at me weirdly. “You are crazy. It's 3:30 in the morning for Christ's sake. Go and sleep!” she scolded clearly pissed off. I sighed and rolled my eyes but still, I made way to my bed. I stared at the ceiling for god knows how long before I fell asleep.
