Chapter 13

1062 Words
I don't know what came over me, but now I was beyond embarrassed, I pulled the blankets up and covered my face with my hands. Asher just laughed, "I will get a maid to bring your food," he said. Asher went and got new clothes from the cupboard. "I will see you at dinner, love," he said as he left me alone in the room. I had been alone in the room for about an hour when his smell began to affect me again. I decided to take a shower to try and calm myself down. While in the shower, I felt fine. Once I was out, it started again. This was becoming annoying. After getting dressed, I made my way to the bedroom door and asked the guards to get Layla. I waited by the door till she came. I grabbed her and pulled her into the room. Layla looked at me with concern, "I need to get out of the room" I said, almost yelling at her, "he's smell, it's making me feel weird," Layla smiled at me. " OK, we can go for a walk. sounds like you just need some fresh air." Once I was outside. I felt more relaxed, more myself, it was great to be outside, we sat under a tree, the sun was beginning to set, it was breathtaking and I wish I could have stayed there forever. I was thankful that Layla hadn't said anything and sat there with me while my mind was off thinking about how everything in my life had changed. I was also still embarrassed about coming on to Asher earlier. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Layla giggling, "what's so funny," I asked Layla, smiling "your face just went red, were you thinking about Asher?" I covered my face with my hands, how the hell do I keep embarrassing myself today? Layla and I had been sitting under the tree for some time when Asher walked over to us, " Dinner is ready Girls," he said, reaching his hand out for me to grab it. I looked up, wondering if I should take his hand or not. Asher lifted his eyebrows as if he was telling me to take it. After thinking about it for a few seconds I decide to just take it. I didn't want to make a scene over it, I mean it was just his hand, right? Once I took his hand, he smiled, leading us to the dining room, Once we reached the dining room, I noticed 2 more people sitting at the table. Asher gestured to the male first "this is my Delta Max," Max had blond hair and green eyes. Max nodded. When Asher introduced him, next he gestured to a female with red hair and green eyes, "and this is my gamma Summer." Summer bowed her head, "nice to meet you both", I said before sitting down. "Sorry, we didn't meet earlier. We were on a mission and just got back today", Summer said with a smile before I could reply. Asher jumped in with "no talking about work," in a stern voice. After that, everyone kept quiet and only talked if Asher asked them anything. I began to wonder why he didn't want them talking about work. Was it because of me? I tried not to think about it too much. Layla and Leroy were being all lovey-dovey, they were whispering to each other when Leroy cleared his throat, getting everyone's attention, "so Layla and I are having a pup", he said, with the biggest smile on his face, "that's wonderful news", Asher said smiling. Just looking at his smile made me feel things. I tried to shake it off but I was not having much luck. Asher was hot, but when he smiled like that it made me want to melt. I decided I needed to leave, standing up from my chair " Congregations guys, I'm happy for you, but I must be excused as I am feeling tired," I said. Once I was back in the room, I remembered why I wanted out before. I turned around and tried to walk back out of the room. I didn't want to be in there with his smell, it made me feel weak, it made me want him and I wasn't sure if it was a good or a bad thing. But as I tried to leave, smack, I bumped into something hard. I looked up, dam it was Asher, "going somewhere?" he asked, "um no," I answered nervously. I remember what happened the last time we were in this room together. I tried to step back but Asher just took a step forward, he was so close to me, I looked him in the eyes trying to guess what he was thinking. Asher wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him, his touch made me gasp, which made him grin. He knew the effect he had on me. He leaned in and kissed me, it was gentle and warm and it gave me butterflies in my stomach. I moved my hands to his chest, "Stop fighting me," he said as I lightly tried to push him away. "Asher, I can't help it, I don't know you, I only met you a few days ago, and you took me by force," I said, Asher, did not seem happy with my answer. His grin was now gone and he had a very serious look in his eyes, "I'm sorry Ally, but the elders gave me no choice, this is not how I wanted it either, but that's life," he said as he stormed to the bathroom. I walked to the bathroom door and knocked on it, "what do you mean you had no choice?" I lightly yelled. I wanted answers. I wanted to know what he meant. Asher didn't answer, so I banged on the door. " You can't just say that and not tell me what you mean by it," I yelled. Asher opened the door and stared into my eyes, "tell me, Asher, tell me why you had no choice," I said, standing my ground. I wasn't going to let this go and he needed to know that, my hands now on my hips, Asher let out a sign, "it's because you're human."
