I watched as Peggy slowly walked in and settled on the bed, beside me.
"Are you sure about this?" She asked.
"Mila won't come back anytime soon, Peggy. And even if she did, I doubt anything could work between us."
"This is not about Mila." She stated calmly and I was quick to counter her.
"I'm sure as hell, it is."
"This is about you Carter. I care about you and I don't want you making the wrong decisions."
"This was bound to happen Peggy. Sooner or later. I can't remain single forever. I'm turning 30 soon, and I should be working on building a family, having children."
"But then, it should be for love. You don't love her."
"I do. You just don't see it because you think the only person that has ever been perfect for me was Mila."
