It was just an ordinary day for an ordinary girl. The sun outside the school is shining, and its hot. Living in a place Philippines would reqiure you to bring a lot of water. Sandra on the other hand would'nt mind at all. She was use to it, to grow up in a home with no air condition, just a fan at hand would be enough. She saw her bestfriend and wave...Hi Alexa is maam already inside? No not yet, I just saw her in her office, looking gloomy again, and they both laugh. Their teacher is a very strict one. She doesnt smile even in funny situation.But she is great teacher they learned a lot from her. Once they' re inside they couldnt hear each other because of the noise. Everybody seems shouting and screaming. Girls are giggling and smiling. They wonder who are they talking about. Alexa couldnt help it amd ask their classmate. Hey Brina whats up? Alexa did nt you hear about the transferee in the next room, gosh Alexa he is so handsome!..He came from La Salle and girl he got it all!...and Brina giggle again.Sandra who hear it just smile at Alexa. He must be Mr. Everything and they laugh. In Sandra's mind, he doesnt cared because she wants to finished her study without distraction. She's an honor student and a scholar. Boys are just boys they just wanna play and thats the one thing he never need. Sandra is confident, not knowing what lies ahead. Tuesday afternoon she felt the urge to pee and hurriedly went to the CR.She did'nt notice the man ahead and bump into him. They stumble and feel to the ground. Oh my goodness! im really sorry! cried Sandra..she lend her hand and help the man up. She 's busy cleaning the mans pants and did'nt noticed the people around them especially the girls awe...The man stop her hand. Enough! Is these another trick of yours in getting my attention? Sandra was shock..what is this man talking about...the man continue blurting out and said; Ok then, Im Jake Montesor..nice try huh! and he smiled sarcastically and went away. Sandra could'nt believe what she just hear.She felt insulted and doesnt know what that man is talking about, or rather Jake. He seems to be the tranferree that everyone's having lovestruck in the school. Well not for me Sandra thought.. He is just another f*****g asshole, with all his overbearing self-confidence. I hate that guy Alexa! Would you believe he actually thought I am one of those girls, whose crazilly in love with him? Alexa smiled and said; and why dont you like him Sandra.Of all Alexa, why would you ask me that question,you know me very well. That thing is out of my league. I have to finished my study first, I have to help my family. Here we go again Sandra the never ending duty of the eldest child. Come on Sandra learned to chill for a while...Lets enjoy our youth.. You can say that Alexa because you have everything you need. I dont hold that against you. You know I love you right? Of course darling. Now we must all stop this crazy fight amd eat our food. They both agree and ate their cold food. It has been two months since the arrival of Jake, but he is still the hot topic for everyone. Everywhere Sandra go, she can hear them whisper his name. Ahh ! if they only know how ill mannered Jake is, they would all stop these non sense. One afternoon she saw Jake pass by with his group of friends. Oh he looked really handsome in that shirt he wore.She know instantly that shes not the only one who notice it, because the girls immediately surrounded Jake. Sandra chuckled. Those idiots, they dont know his true color , and left the scene. Without knowing that Jake saw it all in her face. He wonder what the hate is all about? He just have one brief encounter wirh her. Its when they bump to each other. Jake know he have been i***t that day. He lashed it on her and he felt sorry for her. While walking home Sandra thought about their school field trip at the end of this semester. She was worried how she gonna pay for it. For sure her parents would make a way but their budget would suffer. Its getting dark and she did not notice the fast car approaching.It was to late for her, the muddy water from the road splashed all over her uniform,. She was a real mess right now. Shit! she cursed, as she wiped her muddy uniform. How come this driver got his license? Sandra thought. She was furious and when the car stop. She immediately knocked the window and shouted at the driver. How dare you do this to me! Im really sorry miss. The driver replied,and he was surprise to saw her. Of all the people, why her? He knows, she would really think that he intended to do it to belittle her and made her a laughing stock. Sandra's eyes widened when she saw whose driving the car. It was Jake, the beast. Oh its you! It seems like you really love pissing my day MR. Sandra give Jake a suspicious look. Look, I already saidà sorry. That was'nt my intension, I dont want to hurt anyone. Really, you think I am a fool, think I would believe you? I hate you! wanna know why? Because you think yourself high, you think your popular and that everyone like you, well damn man! Not me. With that Sandra left Jake in great disbelief. Jake never thought that she really hate her. All those snub face he get from her when she passed by is actually for him and not just by coincident. Am I that bad for her to act like that? I guess, I'll try to be friendly next time. I come to realise that this girl is different from other. Now that he have closer looked at her, he realised that she is pretty, especially when shes angry. With a smile on his face he get inside his car and leave. Sandra told her mother about the school field trip. Mom its ok if I cant attend that field trip, I understand, I' ll just ask the teacher to give me project. No Sandy, your going. Its important that you attend that trip, its for your grades. I'll just talk to your dada. But mom....Sandra react. Stop it Sandra, its final. Her mom replied. Hinting the firmness of her mothers decision, Sandra hug her nana and kissed her. Thank you...Sandra whisper in her nana's ear. Nana had a teary eyes hearing her daughter. She was a very sweet child. They were proud of her. The kindness that Sandra have will always show in everything. She hope that Sandra's struggle in her study well be paid off, that she would have a better and happy life. Sandra is very lucky to have her loving family. She s very thankful for everything they have done. Though they dont have much their parents would do anything to rovide for their needs. Thats why she will do her best in her study to repay aĺl their efforts. Its field trip day and everyone is so excited. Alexa her bestfriend keep on smiling. What is that look, Alexa? You seem so happy. Sandra its Jake, he'll be here with us, in this bus. Alexa giggled. Ohh no! Alexa...Here you go again. I told you he is not worthy at all. Sandra spat. Nah Sandra!as if you know the guy ver well. Why your so against him, is there something I need to know. Alexa snap.. Sandra just smiled at Alexa. Suddenly there's a silent. She looked around and know the reason; Jake was entering the bus, with that very handsome face. It seem that she too was startruck. It seem like am angel comes down on earth. When she looked at her friend, Alex laugh at her. She was caught staring at Jake. I thought you said you dont like him. Girl you cant fool me, I know that look. What are you talking about Alex. I was just looking at him because I wonder why all of a sudden, everyone went quite. Nanana...Sandra you explain yourself too much. It was fine, I too was I awe wtih Jake's presence. Shut up Alex.Sandra eyed her friend. Alex just laughed at her friend who seem so defensive. Not too soon the bus was filled again with laughter and noise. Everyone was so excited, its not like everyday they can travel and have fun with their friends. Everybody was happy.
