_Mira’s POV_ The hospital room felt colder than usual, and my body ached with every small movement. I blinked against the pale light filtering through the blinds. My head was pounding, my limbs were weak, and the bandage on my temple itched. I heard the faint beep of the machines monitoring my vitals and sighed, wishing I could rip the wires off and leave. I hated hospitals. They were too quiet, too sterile. They made me feel trapped, and I needed to be free. I needed to be anywhere but here.
