Ryan looked at Chloe's beautiful face and denied it.
"My company is doing well, very well. I actually want to get the car for my little sister, so, I have to go home first and ask her what her preference is" Ryan quickly came up with a lie.
"You really don't have to go through all that trouble. Just call her" Chloe said, looking at the naive fool who doesn't know how to lie
"It's not as simple as just calling her, besides, she might be in class now, so, I'll just go home now and come back later" Ryan scratched his head awkwardly.
"If you say so. I'll be expecting you, and I'll surely keep that car for you" Chloe said with a sly smile.
"You can keep it, but I don't know if she will like it. What if she doesn't like it?" Ryan asked, sweating already.
"Who doesn't want the latest Rolls-Royce Sweptail? If you buy it for her, she's going to worship you for the rest of her life. But if she doesn't like it, like you said, you can pick another one for her. Some will be shipped here tomorrow too, there's is this guard red Porsche Taycan (electric sport car) and it is very cheap"
Ryan breathe a sign of relief and adjusted his suit, at least it is cheap, he should be able to afford it.
"It's just $20million" Chloe said.
Did she just say just???
How is $20million just???
"Like I said before, I'll go home first" Ryan said, angry.
"Okay. I won't see you off, so, you can go now, I am busy." Chloe suddenly said with a straight face. Ryan almost jumped when he saw her face. He quickly picked up his jacket and walked out.
"I hate customers like that. People like that are bad luck. He own a company, yet, he can't buy a car worth just $20million and he has the nerve to pursue me."
Roger skillfully cut the onions, bell pepper and carrots.
Jessica, one of the female cook working with Roger, stare at Roger and she giggled happily.
'He looks so hot in that apron and his hands are made for cooking' Jessica said to herself.
Roger suddenly looked back and saw Jessica smiling.
"Why are you standing there? Are you done with what I asked you to do?" He asked.
"Yes,yes" Jesicca blushed.
Roger noticed Jessica's strange behavior, and he asked.
"Is something wrong?"
"Not at all. What can I help you with boss?" Jessica asked.
"Nothing. Just watch me and learn"
I'll gladly watch and admire you!
"Pass me the seasoning" Roger said.
Jessica quickly passed him a container and watched him season the food skillfully.
Gosh! A man like this...
"Miss Wallace's business dinner is in 2 days, I hope you've done what I asked you to. We can't afford to mess things up or make any mistakes as people from all walks of life will be there and this is our opportunity to showcase our skills and widen our Network" Roger explained.
"I understand sir. I'll surely do my best" Jessica said obediently.
In an abandoned warehouse, a teenager sat on a couch, sniffing drugs.
"Jane, you've heard enough for today" Ace, a man in his early thirties said, packing the remaining drugs.
"Why? I still want more? I am not high yet" Jane complained.
"You have to stay away from drugs because of our next mission, so, you better get used to it now. This next mission will change our lives forever, so, you have to be clean and stop doing drugs for now" Ace said. Ace and Jane are both orphans who ran away from an orphanage and since then, they've been stealing, kidnapping, selling drugs and doing all other illegal stuff.
"Do you think she is a fool? Will she fall for it?" Jane asked worried. They've done other bad things, but definitely not this one they are about to do.
"I have a plan. She is clever, but I am not dull either" Ace said, licking his lips.
"I'll just believe you like I always do. I hope nothing goes wrong"
Chloe walked into a restaurant and sighted a young handsome man, screaming of power and authority, she walked to him with a smile.
"I am sorry for keeping you waiting Mr Brandy" Chloe apologized.
"Come to think of it, you're the first person to keep me waiting since I was born. I really admire you. If it was anyone else, they would come here and wait an hour before the meeting, but you're different" Mr Brandy said in admiration.
"Thanks for the compliment. So, let's get to business. Why are we here?" Chloe asked. She wants to quickly leave here because Roger wants to meet her and talk about the arrangement and she doesn't want to be late.
Mr Brandy looked at Chloe, dressed in a designer red shirt gown, making her look young and wild, with her hair in ponytail and her deep blue eyes starring at him.
Mr Brandy is the richest person in Los Angeles and even the president of the country can't be compared to him, because he is like a king. Many women has tried to seduce him, but they all failed. Unfortunately he is only interested in Chloe, the young lady who built her empire and made a name for herself. She's actually the 4th richest in Los Angeles and the second richest woman, while Mr Brandy's mother is the first. Mr Brandy believes only Chloe deserves him and only her can stand by his side.
He fell in love with her beauty, confidence, arrogance, and most Importantly because she doesn't see him as a big deal and that alone makes him want to tame her.
"We can talk about it when we're done eating" Mr Brandy said, wanting to spend more time with her.
"Mr Brandy, you know I am a very busy woman, and I have a lot to attend to. I don't have time to eat, let's just get into business" Chloe said, impatient. She can't bear to keep Roger waiting and it is almost time. She hasn't seen him for days now and she's so eager to see him.
"I see that you're in a hurry. I can't waste your time then and just go straight to the point." Mr Brandy gulped down a glass of water and saw Chloe's impatient face.
"Actually I called you here today for a proposal which will benefit the both of us" Mr Brandy said, piquing her interest.
"Really? What is it about?" Chloe asked with bright eyes.
"Chloe, let's get married".
