Xavier's P.O.V It was well dark by the time I finally pulled into the driveway to the mansion. There was something about the quiet of the evening that wrapped itself around me as I stepped out of my car, its coldness sending a shiver down my spine. I took one deep breath and tried to shake the heavy feeling from my body. Everything felt heavier tonight-my thoughts, my mood, my body tension refusing to loosen. As I entered the mansion, silence greeted me, still as an echo of the hollowness which was growing inside. I entered the foyer, went straight into the kitchen simply because I wanted something to drink and clear my head. I swung the fridge open and pulled out a bottle of cold juice and drank it after pouring a glass in a few long gulps. The cold centred me, helped take the edge off.
