Zola’s POV
I couldn’t move, not that I dared to. I was afraid one of the trackers would come back and find me. Samantha thought the same as I did and sobbed endlessly about the situation. Constantly telling me this was all of her fault. “None of this is your fault. It’s theirs. I don’t know why they did it. But it certainly isn’t your fault.” Despite my words, she was skittish, and every noise, no matter how small, terrified her.
It gave Samantha and me a chance to talk about what happened whilst I was dormant. I was shocked beyond words, what Lily did and why she did it. That power-hungry b***h. I couldn’t believe that my human was made to suffer by those she thought loved her.
