Chapter 5 Innocence of a Child Standing in the middle of the bar, I slowly came full circle, inspecting my new home-sweet-home. Dusty tables, the smell of mold, empty liquor shelves, broken stools, the list continued endlessly. I should be used to challenges in my life. Uninterrupted battles with bloodthirsty vampires weren’t a piece of cake. Though I ravished in triumph every time, I walked away alive. I might be immortal, but I was not invincible.
