CHAPTER 2: TRIPLETS!

9 months later

Tense silence in the operating room was suddenly broken by a loudcry. The foundations of the hospital shook as if a powerful being had comeinto this world. Moments later, the surgeon came out with a male pupwrapped in a royal red cloth. “An alpha royal son as you wished, Beta Sophia,” the doctor said inahushed voice. Sophia’s eyes shone with excitement. She quickly tookthelycan king’s cub and heir from the doctor, her joy knowing no bounds. She could easily see herself as the queen to the mateless lycan king!

Bella couldn’t have given her a better gift. It was worth the shock andhatred she had felt when she found out that Bella had slept with SebastianThunderstorm instead of Arthur, ruining all her plans. Sophia squeezed the baby close to her, alarming the doctor. “Careful! You will hurt the pup,” he said. “Mind your own business,” the female beta barked and tried to force thebaby close to her again. “I want the pup to imprint me as its mother,”sherevealed the reason behind her actions. “But why is he not biting me?Why is he not imprinting me as his mother?” She asked, confused, whenthe baby continued to look away from her.

“Give him some time, Ma’am. Maybe he is confused and can not senseyou as the one who gave birth to him. Royal pups have a very heightenedsense of smell. He might not be able to figure out your scent yet. Youwill

have to be patient with him. Please allow him to familiarize with youandyour scent. He might imprint on you later. If he doesn’t, don’t worry. It isnatural for some royal pups to not imprint on their mothers,” the doctor

tried to allay the beta’s fears, though he was worried that he might faceher wrath if he told her that the pup had already imprinted on Bella just

after birth! He would surely lose his doctor’s license and life then. “Very well, then,” Sophia replied, pleased. “I have transferred the moneyinto your account. Try not to tell anyone if you want to keep your head,”she added, and proceeded to click around her heels to exit with the prizedpossession in her arms. “Beta Sophia!” The doctor hurriedly shouted after her. “What?” She spun around, a frown etching on her fair face. “Wha-what about the one in the delivery room?” The doctor stammered. “Make her disappear by hook or by crook. Use any means to remove anytrace of her existence,” Sophia did not mince with her words, and let thevenom of hatred spill into her command. “Successfully carry out this taskand I will give you a position in the royal hospital. You will enjoy endlessprivileges, I promise, but keep it a secret or else…”

“Yes, yes, Beta Sophia,” the doctor hurriedly assured her. “I will doas

you say.” Sophia smirked and put on her sunglasses as she tucked the pup onher

hip. “Good,” she replied and sashayed out, without looking back. Why wouldshe? She was never going to look back. She had hit two birds withonestone. She had successfully disposed off her pest of a stepsister andsuccessfully secured her position as the Queen of the Supernatural

Kingdom- the second most powerful position in the world! Not eventheking’s beta could compete with her power. The doctor returned to the delivery room where Bella lay pale andsweaty. However, her stomach was still bulging!

The nurse hurriedly approached the doctor and said, “Sir! You went out

in a hurry after the pup bit the woman. I forgot to informyou that thereare still two pups in her belly!!”

5 years later, at the airport

Stepping out of a private jet in the latest high, red heels, Bella shiftedher

ultra modern Louis Vuitton bag in one hand and slowly put on her

sunglasses on her glowing, fair face with the other as a smile etchedonher plump, red lips as she breathed in the air out of the plane. The Royal

Lycan Pack. She was finally here!

Her heels clicked tik-tok at every step of the staircase, and she

mesmerized the onlookers with her breathtaking grace, attracting everysingle person’s attention. However, everyone was in for one more

surprise! They gasped when they saw two angelic, doll-like childrenfollowing her! A handsome, noble boy and a beautiful, dainty girl. Theyjust couldn’t take their eyes off the attractive trio. Their auras were toostrong and their faces shone so bright!

‘Is she the Moon Goddess herself?’ Everyone wondered. On entering the airport, the delicate, beautiful lady crouched downat her

kids’ level and lovingly touched their cheeks. “Mommy will take you home and cook for you, alright?” She assuredthem softly, knowing that it was their meal time already. “Don’t talktoany stranger and don’t leave each other’s hands, ok? Stay close to me,”she gently taught, and the intelligent 5-year olds nodded their heads inunderstanding. They would never trouble their mother. They were beyondunderstanding and smart for their age. One would wonder if they weremature adults in children’s bodies. Unbeknownst to them, people were secretly taking their pictures, thinkingthat they belonged to high royalty who had returned home! “Is she a princess we don’t know about, or an alpha’s daughter?”Everyone whispered in hushed tones.

“We don’t know, but we should inform His Highness about this beautyand her children! He will surely reward us!” Bella stood up and turned around just in time to catch the news on theairport’s big screen. Her face remained impassive. Not a single

expression flickered across her face, nor did her eyes behind the hugesunglasses betray any emotion. Bella looked at the news of her former

pack with a neutral face. “And the biggest news of the week is that Sean Monroe officially tookover as the White Claw Pack’s Beta after the former beta, Ethan, disappeared suddenly. Pack members are trying to track down Ethan’s

whereabouts. It has been known for a long time that the great warrior wasailing from silver poison for a long time. Meanwhile, Sophia Monroe, daughter of Sean Monroe, has stepped up to take on the duties of royal

ambassador till her father, Sean, steps down as Beta and passes onthetitle to her. It is reported that Sophia will handle the affairs betweentheWhite Claw Pack and the Royal Lycan Pack. She is fortunate that thetwopacks are neighbours now, after the huge takeover by the Lycan King, Sebastian Thunderstorm, on the continent’s eastern front. In another

shocking change, His Highness has thrown open the higher warrior

positions for the public. Anyone can participate. This has been done as

Beta Ethan’s last wish. We hope that he is well and found soon.” Bella’s fingers curled into fists on her sides as she tried to regain her

composure while watching the news. Her dear grandfather, Beta Ethan, was missing!

Earlier, she had hurried to the hospital with the money Sophia had takenfrom Arthur and given to Bella in the hotel that night when her

grandfather’s life was in grave danger. Everyone accused Bella of her

grandfather’s injuries when she accidentally stumbled upon the enemycamp which was planning to attack the White Claw Pack at midnight. Her

grandfather saved her at his life’s expense. Fortunately, her former mateand alpha, Maximus Cornell, was right behind her and his warriors

successfully warded off the attack. She was a trained warrior herself, but

she wasn’t in her right mind when she ran into the forbidden forest. Shehad just caught Maximus in bed with none other than her evil stepsister, Sophia!

After giving the money, grandfather Ethan’s condition remarkablyimproved after the surgery. However, before he could be dischargedfromthe hospital, grandpa Ethan disappeared mysteriously!

The news of his disappearance, clubbed with the pain of rejection andover-fatigue, caused Bella to faint during the last leg of her last trimester

of pregnancy. When she woke up, she found out about her pregnancy. Much to her shock, the doctor declared that it was too late for an abortionand she would be going into labour soon. Helpless, Bella chose to accept

her pups, even if they were old man, Arthur’s children too. She didnot

have the heart to kill innocent lives. That day, just before going into labour, she accidentally met Sophia inthehospital ward. Sophia kicked hard on Bella’s abdomen, which led tothepremature death of a fetus in the latter’s womb. That day, her father won the votes of the majority of the Elder Council

and was chosen as the next beta, till Maximus carried out the Beta dutiesand Maximus’ father was the Alpha. Now that Maximus’s father haddiedand Maximus was the Alpha of the White Claw Pack, Sean had officiallybecome the Beta. Bella didn’t like it one bit. Not at all. She hated it that her father hadfailed to save her grandfather and, instead, successfully managed toembezzle her grandfather’s property and title! In fact, he had gone as far

as to sell her to Elder Councilman Arthur!!

Now that she was back, she was going to take what was rightfully hers. Debts were going to be settled where she was going to collect what theyowed her. “Mommy?” A small, soft voice broke her string of thoughts as the littledoll tugged on Bella’s dress. “Yes, baby?” Bella cooed, indulging her little one. “Is something wrong, mommy? Don’t you want to go home?” Her

daughter’s lilting soft voice calmed Bella down. “Nothing, baby. Mommy just remembered a few things,” Bella replied. She suddenly looked around, alarmed. “Where is your brother?!” Sheexclaimed. Where did the little devil go? Why couldn’t the little troublemaker stayat

one place for a moment?

Just as Bella was trying to find her son, highly trained, black-clad

warriors appeared by her side. The leader of the king’s bodyguards spokebehind the mask that covered half of his face, “Ma’am, please followus.”
