Chapter 2

Evelyn's POV

"Good Morning, Princess!!" Liam smirks.

"Piss off Liam! Not in a good mood" I roll my eyes.

"Come on! Why so grumpy grumpy? Loosen a little. Be so goofy goofy" he says again.

"You are already the Beta! You don't have to go through this tension like I do! I feel like I am on fire, piss off!!!" I yell at him.

Liam is nineteen and the capital pack's current Beta. Our pack , The Blueblood Pack is the current capital of all the werewolf lands.

"Pleasant Morning, Ev!!" Dad greets me.

"Morning Dad" I whisper as I give him a side hug.

"So, today you will visit and meet the Alpha, Beta and Gamma of Redmoon Pack. The last in the important list" Dad says.

And my heart flutters. Before you jump into a conclusion, yes! I have a crush on him. I have met him only once when I was seventeen. But he did flatter me a lot.

William Brown he is. I was twelve when I first saw him. He came to the capital with his father, then Alpha.. Jonah Brown. I remember we played in our backyard till the sun bid us bye for the day.

I was fourteen when I saw him again. He was probably fifteen or sixteen by then. He is starting to look more and more handsome at that age. And that day, he did not play with me. He chose to stand by his father's side to know more about the etiquettes when you meet the king and queen.

I was seventeen and I waited for him to come to the Alpha party my father was hosting. Just to reconcile the Alphas if they had minor issues or grudges with each other. I saw him that day. He was so handsome. Already an Alpha. That is when I came to know that he is eighteen. An year older than me.

I was looking at him from my room's balcony as he walks into the palace. His eyes went wide as he searched for something. He then smiled wide as he greeted one of his good friend and another Alpha, Victor Frank. His face looked so happy.

But I couldn't meet him or talk to him that day. I was about to enter the court to enjoy the ball but one of the Lunas went into heat that even she did not see coming. There was chaos but no one is injured in the process. Thankfully.

But that was the last time I saw William Brown. You can say he is my crush.

"Ev???" My father's voice brings me back to the pack from my imaginary world where I was on a romantic date with William Brown.

I might be a princess, but when a girl has a crush on someone.. daydreams are just as mandatory as consuming food.! I'm sorry.

"Mhm" I say and nod.

"Zoning out? Or are you tired with all these trips? It is okay if you need some rest. You can visit Redmoon pack-"

"No no! I am totally fine. Yeah, I was just.. thinking of something else. I would totally visit Redmoon pack today" I smile wide trying my best not to make it seem awkward.

But I guess I indeed made it awkward. My father is looking at me with his eyes narrowed. And I mimic his actions just to say nothing is weird, but the heck with it.. it just made the whole situation look much more weird!

"Okay. So when do I have to leave?" I ask him.

"You look so eager, if I am not wrong" he says as if he is already sensing something.

"I just want to get done with this soon" I roll my eyes.

Please dad. Please let this go. I am trying my best.

"You are just making it obvious!!" My wolf, Tasha face palms herself.

Someone just screw me!!

"Alright then. You will leave to visit the pack in an hour. You will have your own group of maids, guide and if you want, you can take Liam too" he says.

"King! You didn't tell me about this before!!" Liam voices out.

I look at him and smirk. He is the beta but when it comes to travel, he always tries to make new excuses. He says travelling is just not his thing. Weird as heck, I know.

Liam slightly shakes his head and pleading with his eyes. Almost begs me not to choose him to accompany. I had our Gamma Jake accompany me till now. Because he maintains a nice relationship with everyone across the werewolf world.

"Yeah Dad, I want to take Liam with me" I smirk still looking at Liam.

He glares at me and I stick my tongue out at him. He rolls his eyes but bows to my father, agreeing to his newly added responsibility.

"Okay. Then take all your necessities. You can stay there tonight if it gets too late. But make sure you come back winning the pack's hearts. They are very good allies of ours" My father speaks.

"If possible, win the heart of their Alpha too!" Tasha says and I almost blush. Almost!

I nod and give my father another hug sideways before I turn around and walk. I need to look at myself in the mirror one more time.

"You never did this when you visited other packs, why now?" Tasha asks.

I roll my eyes.

"William Brownnnn.!! I can hear you calling his name out with dreamy eyes" she teases me.

And I almost blush again.

"Hey hey!!!" I hear Liam's voice and a smirk makes its own way on to my face.

"You know right?" He says holding me by my shoulder to stop me from walking.

I turn around to face him and he is glaring at me again.

"About what?" I ask him back.

"You do know that I hate travelling right? And this RedMoon Pack.. seriously Ev! It takes us freaking 6 hours just to reach their woods! Why the heck did you even-"

He stops talking out of blue and his eyes go wide. As if he just processed and realised something. And he looks at me with a smirk.

"William Brown, huh?" He smirks.

Am I that obvious?

"William Brown.. oh! That Alpha we are meeting now?" I play pretend.

"Every night in my dreams..

I see you.. I feel you" Liam sings with a very very sarcastic face that I want to punch.

"Shut up" I say and turn around with an eyeroll and a smile.

Why can't I act and let everything slide for God sake!!!

I walk towards my room where I want to pack my last minute necessities and yeah, just want to look at myself in the mirror again! But Celia's presence stuns me for a second.

"Hey!!" She squeals.

"Are you serious?" I almost cry in happiness.

We both run to each other and hug with the largest smiles we have ever seen on our own faces. Celia is my best friend since childhood. She is a badass like me as well, but her father.. Gabriel Smith, The Beta of our pack sent her away for a while to the mermaid land. Hoping she would learn some dignity, boy was he wrong!

"Guess who is back!" She squeals as she pulls away.

"Oh! Hey sis!!" Liam greets his own sister.

"The Beta of Blueblood pack huh? Can't believe my lil brother is all grown up" she smiles.

That was all Liam needed for the tension in him to go away and walk fast to his sister. They share a hug. A very simple one. I don't understand what is wrong with these siblings. Or am I weird in understanding these sibling things because I am an only child?

"Where are you guys heading to?" Celia asks.

I look at Liam and chuckle again.

"To RedMoon Pack" I say walking towards the mirror.

"William Brown huh" Celia asks and I turn around.

I look at Liam. I am sure this guy must have revealed everything to her. Because I shared with no one about my feelings until last year with Liam when Celia was already at mermaid land.

"You... You... Come here" I yell at him as I take powerful strides towards him.

"We are best friends right?" He asks me as he takes a step back everytime I take one towards him.

"No! You are two years younger, remember" I say already clenching my hand into a fist.

"I will not whine all the way to the Redmoon pack" he says.

Not enough!

"I said... I ordered you to COME HERE" I say and start running.

He is already running away and I just follow him as I try to run faster. How dare he reveal that to her when I was just waiting for perfect occasion to tell her and ask her advices on how to start building conversations with him!!!

"I am sorry!!!" He yells but doesn't stop running.

We are now out of the palace and running in the pack not really caring at people who are laughing at us.

"Princess never fails to amuse us"

"Hey! Princess is chasing Liam"

"Princess can run really well"

Are mostly what I hear from my pack members right now. If they thought a princess or a queen has to be as delicate as heck, then maybe it is my time to prove them wrong.

So I run a little more faster. Liam turns around just for a second and his eyes go wide. He starts running a little faster as well.

This punk!

"Someone save meeeee" Liam dramatically yells.

I giggle to myself. Never a dull moment around this guy. He is not just Celia's little brother, but mine too. We both treated him such since he was born. Now that he is grown up, and I started sharing details about my heart.. this guy has been added into my best friend list.

I successfully catch him by his neck and stop him from running again. Good thing I am wearing a green hoodie and ankle length leggings.. free and comfortable as heck to run.

"I'm sorry. I really am!!!" He says throwing his hands up in the air as if he is surrendering.

"Why?" I ask him.

"I just wanted to build a conversation with her" he says.

"And you used me and my crush for it?" I yell and grip his neck a little tighter.

"Ahhhhh! Sorry Ev! Trust me I will never ever make that move again?!" He squirms in pain when I did not even grip that hard.

He is a beta for God sake!

And did you see this guy's drama skills!!! Out of this planet!!

"Princess Evelyn! I see you are ready now. Our team is too. Good thing you came early. The journey really takes a while" My car's driver Mr. Jude speaks.

That is when Liam and I look around. We reached the spot of the garage from where I have been starting my trips to meet Alphas and their packs.

I can't tell them I need to get ready. So instead I nod. I glare at Liam and he releases air through his puffed cheeks.

I hold his neck again and pull him closer.

"I will still kill you very soon. This is just a delay since I should be in my best behavior" I whisper.

He looks at me and fights a smile back. I roll my eyes as I hop into my car. Liam slides in beside me.

"William Brown must be waiting" Liam whispers.

Without wasting any second, I smack his head real hard. But the truth is, my heart is pounding out of my chest.
