Chapter Twenty-Four I didn’t sleep for the next two days. Every time I closed my eyes, the nightmares would assault me. Even when I blinked during the daylight hours, I saw Zane falling away from me into darkness. But that sight wasn’t a dream. It had been real. He’d walked away from me two nights ago.
