Welcome To Rose Arcane University
Tokyo, Japan. The inhabitants found here were far from the ordinary. Their advanced intellect in terms of technology knew no bounds. Creativity was limitless with vast quantities of entertainment being produced frequently. A magnificent sight for most to behold. But for a specific individual amongst them, he couldn't help but feel as the odd one out. This especially hurts given his sisters are seen on a regular basis in terms of television. While he himself still tried to find his purpose in life as a whole. His name, is Raijin Ishida. A unique young man with such a convoluted backstory, that he has practically given up trying to explain it to anyone. In a reality where most believe that fantasy is nothing more than a genre to most or an escape to something more whimsical, Raijin lived it in a sense. Born to a Dragon-Human Hybrid and a Demoness. Raijin was the last of four children. The ONLY boy for them to bear. As well as the only child to display qualities of both. Everything to him was blurry afterwards. The parts he remembered however; these moments played vividly within his mind. His father wasn't present after he was born, he figured that he abandoned them at first. But he was from a distance by giving him gifts. Each seemingly more expensive than the last. At least he knew his father still loved him and even wanted to see him someday. He just never knew when or how. Raijin feared the possibilities that he was in trouble and didn't want to risk his family. But he dropped that theory when he started learning more of his heritage. His mother, she cared for him while using money sent to her by her daughters to get by somewhat smoothly in their shared community. Raijin loved his mother immensely. Everything appeared perfect...until his tenth birthday. From there, his entire world fell apart. His mother went to get him a gift of her own while he attended school for the evening. But when he got home, there was no sign of her anywhere. He sat outside awaiting her return, yet to no avail, she did not return. Nighttime struck, and the landlords found him in his lonesome on the doorstep. Despite knowing how great the kid was after getting to know him, and his declaration that he could handle himself if push came to shove, they called an child abandonment to the police. Through various cases and investigations, Raijin ended up in being placed in a home filled to the brim with kids. Placing the boy up for adoption. A scared child given his new surroundings, two things gave him comfort here. The first was still hearing from his father with gifts galore and his only friends that dabbled in the magical realm themselves. The first being Tetsuo Maeda. A young boy with a mysterious ability to create spirit binding chains with enough concentration. But his ability dived more in his ability to talk to spirits or traverse to a world in between life and death. Before ending up here, he used this ability to speak and kick out spirits that wandered about while causing his former pets, a pair of Siberian Huskies, to bark protectively because of their ability to sense an otherworldly presence amongst them. He had spiky ivory hair and deep blue colored hues. Hard not to stand out when it came to him. He kept his powers under wraps unless he was amongst Raijin and the third member of their group. The third and final member of the group, was named Kusanagi Yoshida. A young girl that wielded incredible angelic abilities. Beyond that...she was that used the ability Raijin heard one of siblings could do: Armament Magic. The ability to use magic that revolved around weaponry as well as armory. A young girl that sported platinum blonde hair and sky blue shaded orbs. Raijin's relationship with her was heavily close because of how protective he was whenever any attempted to bully her. It was because of him that when they last saw each other, she vowed to stop being shy and get over her fears to become strong for him. Raijin stayed amongst these two until everyone was slowly getting chosen to be adopted. Eventually until he was the last one out with no intentions of staying or waiting for more kids to show up. So in the middle of the night, Raijin escaped through the window. Returning home for the first time in months and found the secretive stash of money his mother left behind and used that to survive for many years to come. He never needed to really work for money because of his father watching over him transported the money his sisters were giving his mother and give it to him. It was like that for the next eleven years. Now, at the age of twenty-one, Raijin resided within his own apartment in Shibuya City. His ebony wild hair became so long that he resorted to tying it like a massive ponytail. Handsome features that made him the focus of attention towards his female neighbors whenever he was spotted. His physique looked as though he was personally sculpted by the gods themselves. But his most alluring feature was his golden irises that only made him stand out than the average male. A law abiding citizen that took some scenes of action into his own hands when none were present to stop it. A sense of righteousness bestowed upon this young man despite his upbringing. Yet he was the type to avoid others or even interactions. He unintentionally blocked chances of romance out of an underlying fear that it's attraction versus actual feelings for him. One evening, Raijin was walking home when he heard ruffling in a nearby alleyway. Soft whimpers made him think it was a stray but it would surprise him to find one of his neighbors, Sakura, struggling against her will while pinned against the bricked wall and almost violated by five men dressed in all black. "HEY!!" Raijin shouted making the five men halt in their tracks and look in his general direction. "Eh? Who the hell are you?" The leader asked with a deathly glare towards the man that stood between him and his boys passing around a helpless female. "I don't give out my name to trash like you. I'm only going to say this once. Hands off Sakura. Now!" Raijin demanded with a soft growl escaping his lips only for the mysterious men to let her go and focus solely upon him. "Oh yeah? And what are you going to do about it? Show him whose boss." The head of this group spoke rather confidently while the other four attempted to jump him at once. In a sudden flash, Raijin threw his onyx shaded aviator jacket high within the air and started fighting the group all at once. With no purely defined fighting style, Raijin purely fought a brawler with hints of Judo through in but at a aggressive pace. Raijin gripped two of the men's faces, proceeding to throw them in separate directions of each other. The final two leapt in the air to attack from above. A grave mistake indeed. Raijin snatched one of them out of sky and used him as a weapon to hit the other before flipping the one held over his shoulder. One precise kick afterwards knocked the thug's arm out of socket. His scream spooked the leader, who looked to only notice Raijin drop his arm and catch his jacket and placed it over his shoulder. His attention now gazed upon him. The only thing purely visible was his eyes. A cataclysmic storm surging through them as he turned and grabbed a pipe. "What the hell are you?" he asked Raijin who refused to answer him and instead smacked him across the mouth with the blunt object in hand. His ichor spewing across the wall next to Sakura who cowered herself away from the vicious sight. It took his gentle voice to resonate with her. "Sakura...?" He wistfully spoke to catch her gaze once more. Raijin placed his jacket over her shoulders before moving her out of the passageway. "Let's get you home..." He says before hearing another voice in the alleyway. "You really know how to handle yourself. But I gotta say...you could be even better." The voice echoed to his ears which caused Raijin to halt Sakura and asked that she wait for him as he went back to notice an older muscular man standing there awaiting him. "And you are?" Raijin asked while heading back in. "Not important. But what I can tell you is that I'm scouting for potential candidates for something grander than what your doing now. But you in particular are being summoned. Wanted ahead of those that even signed up for the opportunity. Interested?" The elder male questioned much to Raijin's confusion on the matter. "Look...I'm not sure what your going on about." Raijin tried to be cordial about his answer only for the older gentleman to hand him a scroll. "When you want to know what your truly capable of..and the truth about your family...sign away" The man would whisper into his ear before vanishing as if he never existed. Those words burned into his cranium. "The...truth...?" He wondered while glancing down upon the scroll. 'Is there something that I don't know...maybe I should-' "Raijin?" Sakura's voice interrupted his train of thought. His face remained calm and yet his emotions inside were going insane as he lightly touched upon her back in the meantime for their walk home. ---------------------------------------- That night, Raijin resided rather restless in his home. The scroll he was given perched on the dining room table. His mind couldn't retreat from the very idea of a possible bigger picture of his situation that he isn't fully aware of. He rose from his bed with the very intention of examining this scroll that unfolded itself before him upon entering the living room. "Rose Arcane University...?" Raijin was able to read in big letters at the top of paper. Coming closer to the page allowed him to notice nothing more than scribble but a line for him to sign. "....Okay...let's see...I need a pen. Umm...do I even have one?" He questioned as he lightly placed his hand on the fine print. Suddenly, he felt the very flesh on his hand slice apart. He yanked his hand away acknowledging blood ended up on the paper. Instantaneously, the blood dried itself as if to seal the deal before Raijin vanished in a sudden beam pinpointing his exact spot and transported him face first onto a rocky platform. "Ah. I see you signed it. Good to see you came around." The older buff male spoke as a greeting towards Raijin who tried configuring exactly where he was. He stumbled to his feet before centralizing on the man before him. "My name is Icarus. I apologize for trying to remain mysterious." The man now known as Icarus would come forward with these truths. "Icarus. Okay then. So you told me about learning some truths about my family?" Raijin asked in a confrontational manner which made Icarus raise his hands in defense. "In due time...for now, you must earn the opportunity by earning the chance of joining a guild." Icarus answered the young man and motioned towards the school. Raijin, now determined more than ever, rushes in ahead much to Icarus's pleas to wait for him. Raijin carried on only to be amused by the architecture used for the school designs. The marble was absolutely spotless and beautiful to boot. Various faces could be seen amongst the school grounds. Each eager to show his or her capabilities and show why they are perfect candidates for the guilds they've chosen. Icarus soon enough caught up to Raijin by using old tattered wings to levitate to the young man. "Beautiful, isn't it? Welcome...to Rose Arcane University."
