"A minute ago?" Evie asked to be sure.
"Yeah, I think he and the Science teacher were the people I heard talking." He said.
"But you were with me a minute ago, how did you hear what the math and Science teacher were discussing?" Evie asked.
Ashton stiffened.
How did he hear?
"Um... I..."
"Ashton," She whispered his name and he turned to stare at her. "What's going on?" She asked.
"I really don't know, I was just messing with you." He laughed nervously.
"Messing with me when you sounded serious?" She gave him a look of suspicion.
Ashton knew she was smart. How is he going to avoid her questions now?
"Seriously, I was joking. Besides, how can a human hear from afar?" He asked.
"It can be possible especially with werewolves." She said.
