Lustful Night
The rain poured relentlessly through the night, drumming against the roof with weird rhythm that made the little cottage feel smaller.
It was the kind of storm that occurred in old horror tales, a night when darkness itself seemed to whisper that something terrible was about to happen.
Louis lay flat on his narrow bed, staring at the ceiling.
Sleep has left his eyes.
With a troubled sigh, he pulled the duvet higher over his chest and let his eyes wander around the dim room.
“Why can’t I sleep?” he wondered.
His hand drifted to the left side of his chest, gently rubbing away the strange ache that had settled there.
“It’s just another rainy night.”
He shut his eyes.
Crack!
A deafening clap of thunder burst over the shaking the roof.
Louis jerked awake, gasping as a chill raced down his spine.
“What a night?” he muttered.
He could sense something was wrong.
But he couldn’t explain it, every instinct inside him was screaming that danger was close.
Now in his late forties, Louis has spent most of his life as a hunter.
His instincts had saved him more times than he could count, and tonight those instincts were telling something dangerous is about to happen.
His heart pounded with the restlessness he was feeling, as if his heart already knew something he did not know.
Louis released a weary breath.
“You’re imagining things,” he told himself.
“Get some sleep, everything will be okay by tomorrow.”
It was already past midnight.
Slowly, he closed his eyes once more.
“Woo...”
A long, haunting howl ripped through the storm.
Louis shot up from his bed, clutching his chest as if the sound had struck his heart.
His eyes locked onto the wooden door.
“A wolf...”
As a hunter who lived beside the forest, wolf cries were nothing new to him.
But this one sounded different.
It was deeper, lonelier and felt unreal.
“Why does my chest hurt?” he whispered rubbing his chest.
His uneasiness only grew.
“Is something terrible about to happen?”
He tried to dismiss the feeling and lay back on the bed.
Then another sound drifted through the rain.
Now, it a cry.
It sounds soft, broken and human.
Louis sat up immediately, throwing the duvet aside.
“Someone is in the woods?”
He held his breath.
Despite the pounding rain, he heard the cry again.
It sounds desperate.
Could someone really be out there on a night like this?
He rose quietly and walked to the door, pressing an ear against the door.
The crying became clearer.
His pulse quickened.
“I knew it. Someone must be in the wood”
Without thinking twice, Louis grabbed his shirt and slipped it on.
He reached for his hunting rifle, picked up his large flashlight, and fastened the steel rain hood he often wore during storms.
Whatever waited outside, he couldn’t ignore someone crying for help.
He stepped into the freezing rain and shut the cottage door behind him.
The forest stood before him like tall shadow.
“Who’s there?” he called, weeping the powerful beam of his flashlight between the dripping trees.
Every instinct urged him to turn back because the air itself felt heavy and wrong.
It was as if someone was watching him.
In all his years as a hunter, he felt really scared for the first time.
He almost went back but he heard the cry again.
This time it was long, it sounds painful and hopeless.
Louis gritted his teeth.
“I can’t leave someone out there.”
He gathers every ounce of courage in him, as he stepped into the forest.
“Who’s there?” he shouted again.
But everything was silence.
The deeper he walked, the louder the cries became.
It was as if it was calling only to him, drawing him closer.
As he took steps forward, the lightning strikes.
The flashed across the sky seem as if it will split the sky into two.
Louis froze.
A woman stood only a few feet away from him, the rain streaming down her pale face.
Her long, tangled hair clung to her body.
She wore a short white gown, soaked completely and stained with faded streaks of blood that the rain struggled to wash away.
She looked exhausted, broken and captivatingly beautiful.
Louis stumbled backward and crashed onto the muddy ground.
For a moment, the woman looked terrifying, less like a woman and more like a ghost.
“Help me.”
Her voice was barely louder than the rain.
Louis stared at her, unable to move.
Was she real?
Or were his eyes playing tricks on him?
She took a shaky step towards Louis.
“I’m ... cold...”
Her lips trembled.
“Please...”
Louis noticed the blood on her dress.
“A wolf attacked her,” he thought.
His compassion for her overcomes his fear.
Keeping his guard up, he approached her carefully.
But the moment he was close enough, she seized him.
Louis stumbled forward in shock.
It looked impossible that she could seize him like that.
She looked too weak to stand but her grip on him was unbelievably strong.
Before he could react, her lips crashed against his.
The flashlight slipped from his fingers and rolled down into the darkness.
Louis tried to pull away but he couldn’t.
Her arms tightened around him with unnatural strength, drawing him closer until they both fell onto the rain-soaked with the mud.
She tore his cloth like thread, kissing him roughly.
Her body intertwines with his body.
She was pounce him like someone on fire and only Louis could put the fire off.
Louis mind screamed for him to resist her urge of any s****l intimacy, but it seems there was something stirring with him to have her too.
A strange warmth spread through his body, clouding his judgment.
The world around him faded and only remain her.
Louis could feel her desperate embrace, her trembling breath and her hunger for warmth as her hand hovers his naked body caressing him.
It felt less like desire and more like a spell.
More reason for Louis to get away from her but his reason was not in order anymore.
The storm raged on as the two remained locked together having s****l pleasure under the rain, the mysterious woman cling to Louis as though his very warmth was keeping her alive.
But Louis suddenly felt her smooth hands caressing him suddenly became rough.
He frowned.
Her fingers lengthened and sharp claws scraped lightly across his skin.
Louis heartbeat stopped.
He slowly opened his eyes.
The woman under him was changing, dark fur spread across her body.
Her golden eyes glowed under the flashes of the lightning.
Long fangs emerged between her parted lips.
Louis’s blood ran cold.
“A... werewolf...”
His breath caught in his throat.
He had heard about tales of werewolves but never believed them.
Now, the tales becomes terrifyingly real.
“I... I’m having intimacy with a beat?!
The realization struck him like another rod of lightning.
He wanted to pull away from her; he wanted to run.
But whatever mysterious force had ensnared him still held him captive, refusing to release its grip on his mind.
Above them, the rain gradually reduced.
The cloud slowly drifted apart.
As if the heavens had witnessed the forbidden union, a scarlet moon appear from behind the
darkness, painting the forest in an uncanny crimson glow.
Its silent gaze lingered upon them watching their lustful night.
