Chapter Twenty-Six Tony helped Don out of the river when they reached what he hoped was near the LZ. They hadn’t attracted any wildlife or militia, thank god. They’d floated down the river quietly though just in case with their gun at the ready, their eyes always looking around them. Well, Tony kept an eye out, Don drifted in and out of consciousness mostly. He had lost too much blood. More than Tony would have liked. It might be too late to get Don to a doctor and get a blood transfusion. He hadn’t checked his bandages since they first stopped. They couldn’t afford the time to take another break.
