Alanna couldn’t speak. She stared at Jack holding his baby and her mind was full of questions, but nothing came out of her mouth. Then Jack said, “Yes, we know each other.” Alanna forced a smile. Jack then grabbed the baby’s bag and said to the infant teacher, “I’ll bring him back after his appointment.

Alanna saw him leave and tears ran down her eyes. Alanna ran to the bathroom before anyone noticed. In the bathroom, Alanna cried uncontrollably. She couldn’t believe that Jack had a son. She wondered who’s baby it was? Alanna was heartbroken. She couldn’t believe that he moved on so fast. Then she remembered that she had moved on too. She was engaged to an amazing man who loved her more than anything.

Alanna pulled herself together and went back to the office. Her food arrived but she couldn’t eat it. Alanna wanted to go home and avoid seeing Jack again, but then the director arrived, and they went back to work. Alanna received a call from the contractor that was working on the funeral home’s roof. She went outside to answer it. While she talked to the contractors on the phone, Jack arrived in the parking lot. Alanna tried to act like she didn’t see him, but Jack called her as he walked to the building. Alanna signed that she was on the phone, so Jack apologized and kept walking to the building.

Alanna finished her call and rushed into the building, trying to make it to the office before Jack saw her again. Alanna passed the infant classroom without looking through the windows, but right before she walked into the office Jack stopped her.

Jack stood in front of Alanna. He looked at her eyes and Alanna looked at his eyes. They stared at each other’s eyes quietly. Their agitated breathing, synchronized. Alanna was intoxicated by his smell. Her body reacted to his smell. Jack made a fist, holding himself back from grabbing her.

Suddenly, the office door opened and the director exclaimed, “There you are. A parent wants to talk to you.” The young lady looked at Jack and said, “Oh you found her.” Alanna looked at the director and asked, “I’m sorry what did you say?” The director explained that Jack wanted to talk to her. She then said, “You can use the office. I’ll be in room three.” Alanna nodded and pointed inside the office. Jack held the door and gestured that she should go in first. They walked inside without saying a word.

The director stares at their awkward interaction. She saw the infant teacher staring and went into the room to ask the infant teacher if she knew what that was about. The infant teacher told the director, “I don’t know what is going on, but something is going on with those two. Earlier, when I tried to introduce them, they said that they already knew each other. They acted all weird and after he left Mis Alanna rushed to the bathroom.” The director crosses her hands and frowned, “I hope she doesn’t scare him away. He is such a sweet guy.” “And hot!” exclaimed the infant teacher with a smirk. The director smiled and told the infant teacher, “I saw him first.” Then the director rushed to room three, where the teacher was waiting for her to get to the bathroom.

In the office, Alanna stood staring at Jack waiting for answers to the questions she was formulating in her head. Jack grabbed her hand and smiled. Alanna wanted to pull away, but she couldn’t move her hand. Jack asked her, “How are you, my love? I missed you so much.” Alanna wanted to grab him and kiss him, but she reminded herself that she was with Matthew and Jack had moved on. Alanna pulled her hand away from Jack and turned around. She answered Jack with a broken voice, “I’m fine.” Jack walked to her and stood right behind her. He sniffs her hair and her neck. Alanna asked him to stop, but Jack got closer. He exclaimed, “I miss you so much.” Alanna tried to hold it together, but a tear ran down her cheek.

Jack grabbed her and turned her around. He cleaned her tears and kissed her cheek. Then he whispered, “please don’t cry, my love. I know. I disappeared, but I needed to take care of some things.” Alanna couldn’t hold her feelings inside anymore. She burst into tears and said, “ You mean moving on and starting a family. Please let go of me. We have nothing else to talk about.” Jack hugged Alanna and begged, “please let me explain.” Alanna broke away from his hug and dried her tears. She looked at him angrily. Jack's eyes teared up and he tried to get closer to her, but Alanna pushed him away.

Jack tries to grab Alanna’s hands when he sees the ring on her ring finger. Jack grabbed her hand tightly and pulled it close to his face. He looked at Alanna with a sad face and asked with a broken voice, “What is this?” Alanna looked at Jack's face and wondered why he was looking so sad. “If he has already moved on with his life, why is he acting like he cares?”

Jack looked at Alanna’s face, studying it. He tries to figure out if she was really over him. Alanna stood there looking at him, so Jack demanded, “did he propose? Did you say yes?” Alanna looked at him confused, “what do you care?” She pulled away again. Jack let go of her hand and stared at her.

Jack grabbed Alanna and pulled her against his body. He wrapped his hands around her tightly and whispered into her ear, “I love you and always have. I never moved on. My son was a gift from a very unpleasant time with Susan.” Alanna’s eyes widened. She took a deep breath and Jack continued to whisper into her ear, “I love you.” Alanna’s knees weakened and she felt into Jack's chest. Her head laid on his chest like old times and felt like a dream. She didn’t want him to let go. Jack kissed her head and Alanna was going to wrap her arms around Jack when they heard a knock on the door. Alanna pushed Jack away. She fixed herself and asked, “Yes?” The director asked if she could come in. She needed to give a receipt to a parent that paid her the tuition.

Alanna placed a hand on Jack's chest and whispered. I … Jack placed his hand on top of hers anxiously waiting to hear what Alanna had to say, but the director knocked again. Alanna grabbed the recipe book, opened the door a little and handed it to the director without saying and she closed the door.

The director grabbed the recipe book and looked at the infant teacher with a frown, shrugged her shoulders and showed her the book. The infant teacher raised her eyebrows and shrugged her shoulders.

Jack grabbed Alanna’s hand again, pulled it to his chest and asked, “what did you want to say?” Alanna looked at Jack with a sad face and with tears in her eyes she told him, “I love you too.” Jack’s face lighted up and he reached in for a kiss, but Alanna stopped him. She caressed his face and told him, “I’m engaged to Matthew. He is the kindest person and doesn’t deserve this.” Jack nodded and told Alanna, “I know.” Jack grabbed Alanna and hugged her. Alanna laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Their body heat increased and Jack ran his hands down Alanna’s back. Alanna looked up at Jack’s eyes and he licked his lips. Alanna took a deep breath. She was so close to the lips that she had been yearning for but couldn’t kiss them. She thought about how Matthew would feel if he knew she was hugging Jack. She let go of Jack and asked him to leave before they did something wrong.

Jack looked at Alanna’s eyes and smiled, “ You love me too!” Alanna smiled and showed him her ring, “but I’m engaged.” Jack grabbed her hand and kissed it. He left the office with a big smile.

Outside the office, the director was waiting to go back into the office. Alanna called her in and apologized for the wait. The young lady wasn’t as pleasant as before, but Alanna was too distracted to notice. They finished going through things and Alanna left.

After Alanna left, the director went to the infant room to talk with the teacher, “can you believe that they were in the office for more than an hour.” The infant teacher responded smiling, “and he left with a big smile.” The director was furious, “She thinks she is fooling anyone, with all that surgery.” The infant teacher replied, “I heard that she has her own gym at home that I why she looks like that.” The director sight, “but I heard that she has a reputation for being a maneater.” The infant teacher laughs and responded, “I heard that too.” The director sighs again and exclaimed, “he is too good for her.” The infant teacher smiled and pointed at the door. Jack was at the door picking up his son.

The director walked to Jack and grabbed his hand. Then she looked at his eyes and told him, “If you need anything, I’m here for you.” Jack looked at her seriously. He nodded, thanked her and pulled his hand away. The director walked away to her office. The infant teacher handed Jack his son and informed him about the baby’s day.

That night Alanna couldn’t stop thinking about Jack. She closed her eyes and could see his piercing eyes; she could smell him, and she got goosebumps, remembering the feeling of his warm strong body pressing against hers.

She fell to sleep thinking about him. Then, in the middle of the night, Alanna feels a hand caressing her back. Then she felt someone kissing her back and wrapping their strong arms around her. Alanna was half-asleep. She kept her eyes close when she felt the strong hands sliding off her panties. Alanna moans as the strong hands pull her closer. She moaned as she felt a massive erection being pushed inside of her. Alanna reached back and held on to the strong arms that pulled her.

Half asleep, Alanna enjoyed the trust of the hard-warm erection. Alanna turned her head and reached to kiss the man behind her. As she approached ecstasy she moaned loudly, “Oh Jack!” She went back to sleep, holding on to the strong arms around her.

The next morning, she woke up startled, looking around her bed for Jack. She found her bed empty and felt great relief. She covered her face and exclaimed, “It was just a dream!” She got up from bed to get ready for work and realized that her panties were missing. She looked around and found them between the blankets.

Alanna panicked, “It wasn’t a dream!” she exclaimed. Then the bathroom door opened and Matthew walked out. It took Alanna a second to put herself together. She ran to Matthew and hugged him. She kissed him and told him, “you are here?” Matthew hugged her and replied, “I got here last night. You don’t remember.” Alanna realized what had happened and wondered if she said Jack loudly and did Matthew hear it? She tried to act as if nothing happened and responded, “I was just so sleepy that I wasn’t sure if it was a dream.

Matthew let her go and walked away whispering, "a dream?"
