Time passed but Jack did not give up. He continued to send flowers and called Alanna every week. He begged her to take him back. Alanna dedicated her time to work, and she spent all her free time with Matthew. She tried hard to ignore Jack but every night before bed she would listen to Jack’s voicemails.
Alanna put up a front as if she was over Jack and she didn’t want to be with him, but all she did was for his own good. Since Alanna started seeing Jack, he had changed. He became violent, overprotective, and impulsive. Alanna was worried about him. She didn’t want Jack to get in trouble because of her.
Alanna did all she could to make her relationship with Matthew work. It wasn’t hard to be with Matthew. Matthew is hot, smart, and nice. Alanna enjoyed being with him. With Matthew, Alanna feels calm and relaxed. She doesn’t have to worry about any surprises. Matthew’s family likes her, and he is so attentive. Alanna knows that she can get to love him in no time.
After a few months, Matthew had begun to spend the night at Alanna’s house. Alanna likes company, and the s*x is amazing. On their three-month anniversary, Alanna arrived home from work and candles were led to the room. The room was filled with red roses. Alanna walked into her room and found Matthew naked on her bed. Alanna could tell that he had been working out more. His muscles are bigger. He isn’t wearing his glasses. Alanna could hear a romantic song quietly playing. Alanna was surprised. She smiled and Matthew called her into bed. Alanna took her shoes off and climbed into bed. Matthew began to take her close off.
Matthew kisses her neck as he unbuttons her shirt, then he uncovers her shoulder and kisses it. Alanna opens the zipper of her skirt and slides it off. Then Matthew takes her shirt off. He kisses her and pulls her closer. Alanna could feel his warm erection. She goes to undo her bra and Matthew stops her. He gently undoes her bra and caresses her back as he slides her bra’s straps down her arms. Alanna's breast was exposed to the cold breeze. Her n*****s hardened and Matthew caressed them. Then he presses her chest close to his. Matthew kisses Alanna passionately and lays her on the bed. He takes her panties off and opens her legs. Then he slides his hands down her leg, meeting with her wetness. Alanna moans as he strokes her softly.
Matthew laid on top of her and inserted his massive hardness inside of her with abrupt force. Alanna moans loudly and Matthew kisses her. Alanna kisses his neck and Matthew pushes faster in and out of her. As Matthew reaches ecstasy, he looks at Alanna’s eyes and moaning he exclaims, “I love you!”
Alanna acted as if she didn’t hear him. She wished that she could say the same, but she wasn’t there yet. She was still secretly in love with Jack. After Franco and Jack, she clearly knew that what she felt for Matthew wasn’t love. However, she felt guilty for not saying, I love you back. She tried to say it back, but she couldn’t lie to Matthew. All she waited for every day. Alanna laid on her bed frozen waiting for Matthew to finish so she could go to the bathroom and listen to Jack’s voice. Matthew finished and Alanna rushed to the bathroom with her phone.
Alanna jumps in the shower and cries as she listens to Jack’s broken voice. Jack left a message telling her that he missed her. Jack goes on to describe the things he missed about her and how his life had no meaning since she is not in it.
Outside the bathroom door, Matthew's heart breaks while he hears Alanna crying after listening to Jack’s message. Alanna thought that Matthew didn’t know what was happening, but Matthew knew that she listened to jack’s messages every night. He also knew that she heard him said that he loved her, but she acted as if she didn’t. Matthew knew that Alanna was still in love with Jack, but he couldn’t help feeling the way he felt about her.
After the shower, Alanna comes out of the bathroom and finds Matthew sleeping. She crawls into bed with him and Matthew wraps his arms around her. He kisses her back and goes back to sleep. A tear runs down Matthew’s face, but Alanna doesn’t notice.
The next morning, Matthew is walking to his car when he sees Jack driving by. Jack drove past Alanna’s house some days hoping to see her. Matthew got in his car and asked Jack to follow him. Matthew guided Jack to a coffee place near Alanna’s house. Matthew made signals for Jack to meet him inside. Matthew got a table and Jack joined him.
Jack looked worried. He wondered what Matthew wanted, after the way he treated Matthew in the bathroom the first time they met. Jack worried that he wanted revenge. Matthew called the waitress to order a coffee and asked Jack what he wanted. Jack order a fruit milkshake. Matthew looked at his face puzzled.
The two men sat across each other staring at each other quietly. Their drinks arrived and once Jack took a sip of his milkshake. He broke the ice by saying, “I’m sorry about the way I acted that day in the bathroom. It was so hard to see Alanna with you” Matthew looked down at his coffee and responded, “I understand. I think I would have done the same thing.” Matthew raced his eyes and met with Jack’s eyes. Then with a broken voice, he said, “I love her so much.” Jack sighed and said, “Me too.” Then he asked Matthew, “how is she?” Matthew took a deep breath and responded with a broken voice, “Missing you.” Jack opened his eyes in surprise. He could believe that Matthew had just confessed to him that Alanna missed him.
Jack asked Matthew, “What are you saying? She picked you.” Matthew explained that even though Alanna is with him, she is still in love with Jack. Jack felt happy for a second but then saw Matthew's miserable face and realized that he was suffering as much as he was. He has her but she is not one hundred percent his, and Jack knows that she loves him, but she is not with him. Jack looked at Mathew and smiled, “She is amazing, right?” Matthew answered with a smile, “Yes she is. I don’t want to lose her.” Jack smiles and says, “We are going to have to just wait for her to figure things out. I will fight for her.” Matthew finishes his coffee and stands up. He stands next to Jack and says as he stretches his arm, “I won’t stop fighting either.” Jack stood up and shook Matthew's hand. Jack nodded and asked for the bill. The two men paid for their drinks and left the coffee shop together. Each walked to his car. Matthew saluted Jack as he drove away, and Jack nodded.
For the next month, the two men did their best to show Alanna how much they loved her. Matthew did all he could to make Alanna happy and Jack did all he could to get her back. The two men kept the battle for Alanna’s heart between them. Alanna had no clue about the meeting.
As time passed, Matthew began to wind Alanna’s heart. She cared a lot for him, and their relationship became stronger with time.
One Monday, Jack did not call or text Alanna. Alanna was sad. She wondered if something had happened to him, but then she drove by the station and saw that he was fine. Then she began to wonder if he had gotten over her. She has been asking him to forget about her, but the fear that Jack got over her hurts her. She felt her chest getting tighter and tears ran down her face.
Alanna tries to stay busy and forget about Jack, but every night she waits to see if she has a missed call or a message from Jack.
Matthew noticed that something was wrong and went to see Jack to ask him what was happening. They had lunch together and talked about Alanna. Jack explained that he still loved her the same, but something happened that changed everything. Matthew was secretly happy that he was withdrawing from the race, but he worried that it wasn’t going to last so he decided to take drastic measures to get some leeway while Jack was distracted.
Matthew had an offer to design a building in Dubai that he had been pushing aside in order to spend as much time as possible with Alanna. He decided to take the job and asked Alanna to come with him. Matthew hoped that putting distance between Alanna and Jack would help him.
Matthew planned carefully and found a solution to any excuse Alanna might have to refuse his offer before he asked her to accompany him to Dubai. Once everything was set, Matthew took Alana to a nice restaurant and asked her to accompany him on his business trip.
Alanna was a little skeptical about going away for a few weeks with Matthew, but after losing Jack, going away sounded like a good idea. Alanna asked Matthew to give her some time to think about it. Matthew left her a plane ticket and asked Alanna to meet him at the airport if she decided to go with him. He was tired of feeling like the consolation prize, so he let her decide if she wanted to be with him, she would go with him.
Alanna went home and thought about the trip. Alanna felt that going with Matthew would take their relationship to another level and she wasn’t sure if she was ready for that. Alanna spends the night thinking about the consequences of the decision she has to make.
Then she thinks about Jack. Alanna realizes that Jack seemed to be over her. She knows that she pushed Jack away, but she wasn’t ready to let go. Alanna grabbed her phone and called Jack. The phone rang a few times, and it went to voice mail. She hanged up and called again. This time the call went straight to voicemail as if he turned off his phone.
Alanna was devastated. She plunged into bed crying. She had tried so hard to push Jack away but didn’t realize that she didn’t really want him to go anywhere. She wanted him more than anything. Alanna felt as if her life was over, she lost the desire to live. She fell to sleep crying.
The next day, Alanna organized everything to pack her bag and went to meet Matthew at the airport. As Alanna walked down the hallway at the airport, Matthew desperately looked for her. Then he saw her walking towards him. Matthew couldn’t believe that she was there. He was worried that she wasn’t going to show up. Matthew’s eyes teared up. He rushed to her and embraced her. Alanna saw his reaction and became mad at herself, thinking about how she was still sad about a guy that didn’t even want her when she had a man that loved her so much in front of her. She wonders how she can be so stupid and not realize that Matthew didn’t deserve to be treated the way she had been treating him. He deserved to be loved. As Matthew kissed her, she decided that she was going to love Matthew as he deserved. She stops kissing him and tells him, “I love you.” Matthew’s tears ran down his face as he smiles and hugs her tighter and shouts, “I love you.”
