meeting Angela was such unexpected. I had never seen her in our hood before. she wasn't like the other girls around here. she had a bit more meat to her which I like. I couldn't understand why she would call herself fat, she had chunk I'm all the right places, she was flabby or nothing. in my own words. she was thick as hell and I liked why I saw. I was snapped back into reality when my sister yelled in my ear

"HELLLO EAAARTH TO CHEECK!!" she was flicking her hands in my face.

"get yo f*****g hands outta my face Maya" she laughed and stopped and I rolled my eyes

"you need to tell amber to stop coming around here demanding she see you! what you doing running around with them lil hoes anyway? your almost 19 Jesus christ" she rolled her eyes as she packed her lunch

"next time she comes here I'll slap her damn face don't try me" she was dead serious and I smirked and we heard the door bell

she went for the door and opened it. then I heard yelling n screaming

"b***h just in time" I heard Maya and ran for it. she was beating amber

"Maya f**k sakes!" I yelled and she stopped. amber was on the ground crying with blood all over her face.

"don't f*****g come back here amber I mean it" she spat at her and slammed the door on her way in leaving me there stumped

I followed her and waved my hands

"what the f**k was that?" I was surprised. Maya can fight?

"don't look at me like that, like you haven't done it" she squinted her eyes. my goody too shoes sister was something else. Maya is 2 years older than me. she took mom's death worse than me. if ot wasn't for my dad and his mafia crew I don't know where we would be. yes. we are the mafia of Detroit. now how to tell that to bails. f**k.

"you won't be seeing her anymore" I smiled and started to make me a protein shake. Maya smiled

"oooh brother do tell" she was dancing funny and I raised an eyebrow

"quit it with the accent...you'll meet her, shes nice" was all I said

"well she must be cause you ain't called her no hoe yet" I laughed at that cause it was true they was all hoes in this city.

"and I guess I will be meeting her, I'm grading today...see you at school brother" she waved and left me in the kitchen. f**k way too soon

my sister was a straight A student so everytime it was exams she would grade them.

I got ready to leave and text bails that I'd meet her outside her place soon.

I pulled up outside and she walked out. f**k she's hot.

my phone rang in my pocket it was my dad.

my dad laughed.

"he's ready as hell ever be I spose, see you later" he hung up and I slid my phone in my pocket, I got training this afternoon.

I got in the car and bails was fiddling her with her fingers.

"my sisters grading at school today, so you'll probably bump into her" I looked at her and smirked. she went red.

"you..you told her...ab..about me?" she stuttered. I noticed she did that alot when she was nervous but I didn't mind.

I smiled at her and took her hand.

"course I did" I kissed the back of her hand and she went red again. I laughed and started the car and drove to school.

on the way it was a comfortable silence. her fit today was pretty...not hot, pretty. some kind of dress? pants? maybe? s**t I dunno but it was damn pretty.

her long hair always got me too, it ran right down her back and wavy. her blues eyes matched mine n my families.

on the rest of the way, I asked her questions about her family. she was telling me about her life in Beverly hills. I sounded...sad

"sorry can't help it. we're here" she looked out her window and sighed.

"maybe I need to come late more often atleast there will be no stares" she really did hate attention.

"I'll walk you to class" she grabbed her bag and I walked her to her class. I opened the door and the teacher was about to say something to bails but stopped when she saw me.

"sorry Mrs orteiga, I kept her late" I narrowed my eyes at her making her shiver. I dunno why but the teachers were scared of me

"that's okay check, find a seat Ms Bailey" she turned at me with a raised eyebrow

"text you later bails" with that i winked at her and left.

Angela POV

he wiggled his eyebrows at me and left. I turned back to the class stating at me. and turned red walking to my seat. class went by pretty fast and I was happy with the notes I had. I could study them when I get home. I noticed amber wasn't in class and thanked the lord for it.

I walled out and accidentally bumped into someone.

"ooof, I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" I started to panic a little cause usually I get pushed around for that stuff. a lady? a girl? put her hand my shoulder

"it's okay no harm done" I looked at her and she smiled. she was dark skinned with beautiful eyes....like tyrell. my eyes widened at realization and she laughed

"so I see he told you huh? I'm Maya" I put my hand out for her to shake and she whacked it away and pulled me in for a hug

"never mind formalities, where you heading? it's lunch wanna grab some?" she seemed really nice.

"yeah sure my friend barb is probably waiting for me though" I said holding my books to my chest

"cmon then let's not keep her waiting" she grabbed my arm and lead me to the canteen.

we got in there and everyone was doing their thing. I saw tyrell with his friends he smiled and then rolled his eyes when he saw his sister behind me and I heard her chuckle. I saw barb wave me down with a confused look on her face.

just then Ethan came up to me

"hey Angela" guilt filled his voice

"hey Ethan" I half smiled.

Maya looked at both of us crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. like she remembered something

"your Byron's brother right?" she asked straight out and my head snapped to tyrell. he had a grim smile on his face

"yeah that's me" he said rubbing the back of his neck

"right, you took this girl to the party right? I was there and saw what you did. your brothers always been a conceited prick now move" he shrunk back and moved out of our way. I just kept my head down and followed Maya. I looked back at Ethan and he looked....sad

"stay away from boys like him Angela, he's no good" she looked into my eyes and I nodded

"okay..thanks for the heads up, this is barb, my only friend" her smile widened and she pulled barb in for a hug.

barb was startled but composed herself

"Maya? Maya valentine? I've heard so much about you" barb was star struck...she's been here a long time and knows all the cool kids even the older cool kids. valentine, is that tyrells last name? it's pretty.

"good things I hope, I'll grab our lunch ang, won't be long" she winked at us and I turned around to see everyone starung at us whispering. I rolled my eyes gosh really?

tyrell came up to us

"hey baby girl" he flicked my nose making me sneeze and he laughed. just then Maya came back with 2 trays of food.

"dickhead, move" she demanded him and he chuckled moving away

"see you later bails" he winked and walked back to his friends. that I still haven't officially met.

I laughed at her. I think I'm gonna like Maya.

Maya sighed taking a seat

"I love your sweater by the way ang i havent seen one in years, can I call you that? ang?" I nodded yes cause I actually liked it

"yeah I don't mind, and thanks my mom makes them, you want one?" I looked up at her and she looked confused but answered anyway, maybe I just revealed I was a geek

"yeah sure, I'll come take the measures today I'd love one" I smiled at her

"yeah that's cool you can come this arvo?" I shrugged

"it took a day for her mom to make mine so you'll have it for the morning if you go this arvo..life hacks" we all laughed at barb and for once our quiet lonely table wasn't so lonely after all.

after lunch we walked out to the field and was suddenly hit as I came out of the door. Maya came running straight to my side and I saw tyrell walking towards us and nodded for him to stay away I didn't need this worse.

"what did I tell you fat --- Maya?" amber started to back away and Maya rose from where I was lying. she took a deep sigh and turned to amber

"what did I tell you this morning amber, was all this *she waved her hands in front of her black eyes* not a warning for you amber" she tilted her head to the side and looked at me as I spat blood out. then I heard something crack and looked up. Maya was holding amber but her arm and twisted it. my eyes widened and I jumped up

"no Maya it's fine its okay" I grabbed Maya snd she rolled her eyes at amber

"try to keep our of my sight amber" she hissed at her and walked off...barbs mouth was on the ground and we just followed Maya out to the bleachers.

I sat down and she sighed

"sorry about that, I can't stand that bitxh" she checked her nails and hair making me chuckle

"like wise, she's totally in love with your brother" Maya froze and c****d her head at me

"you know that?" she raised an eyebrow. barb was stuffing her face with chocolate from God knows where.

"yeah that's why she beats me, what did you think she was doing it for fun?" I laughed and she didn't

"well now I have an excuse to be ultra mega b***h to her" she smiled and shrugged

"no one messes with my friends" she winked at me n barb and I felt my heart warm...I have an actual friend.

she checked her watch

"gotta go seniors have exams I'll see yous later yeah?" she smiled and waved as she left us by the bleachers. out of no where tyrell and his 3 friends come over to us

"I thought she'd never leave" tyrell said making me laugh

"she's really nice, I like her" I smiled at him and he smiled back

"she's nice to you n barb, remember that" he flicked my nose making me sneeze and he laughed

"these are my boys, ace, Joseph and Blair" he introduced his friends. ace was tall and skinny, like lanky but still handsome.

Joseph was built like tyrell just tan with brown eyes and wavy hair. Blair was dark with cornrows.

"sup" ace put his hand out to me to fist bump and I did

"hey nice to meet yous" I was a bit awkward. dammit

Joseph was staring at barb.

"what's your friend's name?" he said tilting his head and she was looking at the ground shy as hell. well I be dammed. the girls a mute

"oh this is barb" I said nudging her and she looked up quickly

"oh, umm hi" she waved her hand at tyrells friends.

I just noticed these ain't the same guys that were with tyrell the other day. these must be his actual friends not just fans.

"I'll walk you to class bails" I nodded and walked towards the school. barb was hot on my tail.

"that guy is so hot" she whispered to me making me giggle. tyrell came up beside me and out his arm around me

"what's funny?" tyrell chuckled

"oh nothing, I've got my last class, see you later?" I tilted head to him and he smiled

"yeah sure late bails" he nodded his head.

"bye" I smiled and waved and he pulled dme back by my arm

"later" he whispered and flicked my nose making me sneeze. so annoying. him and barb laughed and he ran back to where he came from.

"Ana n tyrell sitting In a tree" barb started singing

"shut up what about you and that guy" she went red and I laughed

"I can't believe it Barbara Terrance you've finally met your match" I laughed at her and she whacked my arm

"shut up Angela, let's go" barb snickered at me

my last class flew by quickly. academic writing. I loved it and it always felt like I was only in here for 20minutes. I wrapped up my stuff and shoved it in my bag, I'll meet with barb on my way to my locker.

I saw barb come out of her last class and I waved out. she came up to me

"plans this arvo?" she said putting her books into her locker

I put mine in my locker and closed it.

"get through these notes for next week's exam, something you should br doing too barb" i stated matter of factly

"oh gess chill mother Theresa" she whinged at me making me chuckle. yeah if only you knew barb I thought to myself

"my parents are having a get together, wanna come?" she smiled and I thought it can't be that bad. it's barbs mom n dad and they love me.

"get together?" I raised an eyebrow

"yeah it's my grandma's memorial dinner" she smiled softly and I went weak I knew how much she loved her grandma.

"fine I'll come. but I can't stay long I really wanna do these notes" she jumped up n down

"yes yes thank you! 7pm, be there, I've gotta go help set up sorry to ditch" she pecked my cheek and I rolled my eyes

"yeah yeah go on" I flung my hand and she chuckled. I slung my bag on my shoulder and thought to head to the library. I sat in my usual corner where no one could see and did a recap of what I wrote down. I was midway of my paper when I could hear whispers. it was tyrell...he wasn't whispering tho but using inside voice. who was he with?

I stood quietly and peeped between some books. he was with amber and she had her hands all over him. she did well to cover the black eyes with make up. she looked flawless.

my heart panged of jealousy and I started to breath heavily.

I heard tyrell laugh

"your make up skills are on point" he laughed again and I smirked a little bit.

I quietly put my bags into my bag I needed to breath. but if I did here I'd be breathing like a 70 year old one breathing oxygen.

"don't be like that check" I heard her say her voice filled with seduction

I couldn't help but look again

she was running her fingers along his arms and he smirked at her, tears filled my eyes. I knew what happens after encounters like that, it's never happened to me but I've watched enough porn to know. I slung my bag and walked out. as I was walking for the door I kicked the receptionist desk on accident. I cursed my self and carried on walking. I heard him call out but I kept my head down and walked towards the exit of the school.

"Bails!" he was running after me

"BAILS!" I kept walking as fast as I could through the school and reached the front

"ANGELA BAILEY!" his voice so dominant it made me stop in my tracks but I didn't turn to him. tears streaming down my face as I breathed heavily. cmon I was fat. what do you expect

he grabbed my hand and walked me out of the school to his car. he wasn't rough though just held my hand I didn't resist. I was in too much shock. he held my shoulders when we were by his car.

"it's not what you think okay she's always doing that s**t to everybody" he sighed and pulled me to his chest

I still didn't look at him and he sighed. I know being over sensitive but I really can't help it

"cmon" he whispered and opened the door for me and I slid in. when he closed the door I wiped my eyes with the tissues in my bag. he got in and started the car and drove off. I just looked out the window after the damn tears finally stopped. we stopped at the same place he took me before. where no one could see or hear us. I heard him sigh again

"bails, look at me baby girl" he pulled my chin to face him but my eyes still stayed down I don't know why

"look at me" he was firm and my eyes snapped up. I saw him smile as I stared into his beautiful blue eyes. he smiled big

"there she is" he whispered and pecked my nose. I felt...calm

"dont get the wrong idea, I was there looking for you, I bumped into barb and she said you'd most likely be there, amber pulled me into the library just as I got there" he sighed and suddenly felt so guilty. I didn't know what to say so I just jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly. he was surprised but then tightened our hug.

I let go and wiped my face I was a mess.

"I'm sorry...I..I ahh" fucksakes Angela

he was patient and waited for me to talk while rubbing my hand

"I...I didn't..kn..know how to react" that last part was forced and I shrunk back into my arms and groaned

"stupid stutter" I said out loud and he laughed I looked at him and squinted

"I think it's cute...actually" he shrugged and I couldn't help but smile

"but it's okay, I figured that, don't worry about amber if Maya was there God damn" we both laughed

I checked my phone for the time. s**t I still need to get home it's already 5pm and I still need to get ready for barbs party thing.

"I need to get home barbs having a dinner n that---" he cut me off

"I know, barb invited me too, and ace Joe and Blair, were all coming" he flicked my nose making me sneeze

"you have got to stop doing that" I said as i sneezed again

he laughed "hell no it's too cute" I rolled my eyes as he drove my home. he held my hand the whole way there. I didn't wanna ask but i needed to know. was I his girl friend? he does call me baby girl and all that, I still barely knew him to be honest.

"so is your family from here?" I suddenly asked and regretted it straight away cause his head snapped to me

he smiled at me...

"you dont know? damn girl I thought you would of been like all them other white girls and do a background check" he laughed and whacked his arm

"I dont judge off things like that, I like to figure out on my own" I said and smiled making him smile

"well...my dad...is Johnson valentine and my moms was Isabelle gr...valentine"

"my dad's like a big business tycoon around here, always busy" he was talking and my eyes widened. he's rich?? and I rolled my eyes at myself of course he is look at this car.

"I'm a fighter, MMA to be precise" he smiled and I was dazed. no wonder the rock hard abs. and he wanted me?

we pulled up outside my house. my parents weren't home otherwise their cats would be here.

"wanna come in?" I asked hesitating to hear his answer but he smiled

"okay, maybe I cam hurry your ass up to get ready" we laughed and got out of his car

I went inside and helooked around

"nice place" he said still looking around

"thanks" I said walking to the kitchen and saw a note on the fridge

won't be home till 9pm still with grandma n grandpa

your dinners in the fridge

I sighed looks like they won't be here when I leave either

"I'm gonna go get ready, help yourself to anything" I was being awkward and he chuckled

"okay thats algood" he walked to the fridge and grabbed some water and walked upstairs to shower and get ready.
