I had arranged for trackers and warriors to check out where the jeep had crashed and to double security on all our borders. I’m not sure what was going on yet, but I wanted to make sure that whoever did this wasn’t anywhere near here right now.
I looked at Ara, she looked peaceful sleeping there. I kissed her forehead and sat down next to her on the bed, I needed to be near her, just to calm my nerves and keep reassuring myself that she was alright.
As midnight rolled around and she there was still no signs of her waking up, I allowed myself to close my eyes and get some sleep. If the warriors and trackers found anything Max said that he would let me know if it were important.
