Later that night Savion paced his room back and forth, thinking of how to approach Armarria after the sight she had seen. He burned Ryan’s remains and dumped his ashes in a nearby river. It was almost time for the sun to come up. It took him hours to calm down the rage inside of him. David’s eye and Sara being held captive by this creep was making him angry all over again.
The worst part of it was he felt her sadness which made him even angrier. She was crying for the jerk who threatened his family. Who, not only hurt her physically but also hurt her emotionally. He could still feel the pain of the heartbreak deep within her when she tried to hide it. Sometimes in moments when he would ask her about something from her past, he could feel the sadness there.
He would ask her, but she always changed the subject. He cursed out loud and ran a hand through his hair. He had no clue what to say to her now, but he knew every fiber of his being wanted to comfort her. He could just refuse it for a while. He was still pissed at himself more than at the situation. Things could’ve been a lot worse than it was and he knew Shadow would scold him for it.
Maybe he was too weak to protect the kids like he wanted. The Cloak wouldn’t stop hunting them. Even though Ryan’s words echoed through his mind about Raul wanting Armarria, he began to put two and two together, considering the news his brother had. His heart wanted so bad to trust her that his mind couldn’t fathom her betraying him. He slumped on the bed staring blankly at the wall. A knock echoed through the room.
“Yes?” the door opened, surprising Savion.
“Could you turn your feelings down some? I’m trying to sleep.” She teased, trying to ease the tension. He gestured for her to come in and sit beside him, but she just walked in and stayed standing.
“Are you afraid of me?” Armarria bit her bottom lip, wanting to avoid the answer. Savion laughed softly shaking his head.
“I feel your fear of me Armarria. I cannot say I blame you. I warned you about the beast that dwells within me. I did not lie about my encounters at the facility or otherwise. I will not hesitate to defend my family even if it means killing your obsessed boyfriend.”
Armarria jerked back as if he struck her. “I’m beginning to see where Shadow gets it from.”
Their eyes locked viciously together. “He hurt David and worse held Sara captive. Is that something I should turn a blind eye to?” His voice was becoming rasped again from the way he was trying to hold back his anger.
Armarria sighed, leaning against the wall. “I’m not defending that. I just…he was…” Tears began to fall again.
“You love him.” Savion continued for her, unafraid to admit it for her. The words pierced his gut, but he knew it to be true. He quickly accepted the fact.
Armarria shook her head. “I loved him yes. I spent most of my life with him. I know it was what you had to do….it was just so brutal.”
Savion stood from the bed. “Death is not pretty Armarria.” She clung to the wall. “I will not hurt you. You know that right?” She looked down at the floor. His hand went to her chin to lift it gently. She stopped fighting him and looked into his eyes.
“Do you believe me?” His voice was now soothing and calm as he spoke to her. More tears fell down her face. “Is this what it feels like to you? To lose a loved one?”
She wiped her eyes. “I saw you Savion. You were the love I lost.” Savion paused. Was she crying for him?
“Your eyes held no soul. I felt your rage. I felt your emptiness. I lost you.”
He thought her sentiments were for the ex. Losing him to death had to be hard, yes, but he never expected her to feel broken because of him. He had forgotten the darkness that spreads when he allows his rage to take over. The pure anger that overcomes him, feeling like the point of no return.
It took years for him to master his way back to normal. It was simple when it was only his darkness and his burdens. Now he was connected to Armarria in more ways than one. He needed a light to his darkness. She was standing in front of him drawing him in.
“I am sorry.” He placed his forehead above her head against the wall. He closed his eyes to salvage the feeling.
“I am no saint Armarria. I am not proud of having to kill your ex-boyfriend. I am not proud of killing anyone. If he would have hurt…”
She touched his cheeks to comfort him. “He didn’t. It’s my fault. I wasn’t there to protect them. I brought monsters into their lives. If I never came here…”
“Then I would be lost forever.” He leaned down grabbing her waist pulling her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck. “I need you.” He whispered in her ear. He pushed closer to her. s*x wasn’t on the agenda, but his p***s obviously didn’t know that.
“I am sorry I cannot control myself around you.” She pressed her legs tighter around his waist.
“Don’t. I love the color of your eyes when you’re horny. A light auburn. Much better than the fiery red.” He sucked on her bottom lip.
“I am sorry I scared you.” He started kissing her neck, suckling as he worked his way down to her breast.
She melted when he moved her shirt to the side and her breast spilled out. He kissed her n****e as if French kissing her lips. She moaned and arched into him. He caressed her bare legs noticing she was wearing his buttoned casual shirt.
“You look so sexy in my clothes.” He continued sucking her breast before she could reply. His hands caressed her thighs, squeezed her butt, and found her sweet center.
His fingers rubbed through her panties until he went inside. His index finger circled her clit causing her to squirm and moan while he continued to suck on her breast. The fire started building inside, threatening to consume them. She stopped Savion before he could go any further and released herself from his waist and placed her feet on the ground.
She squatted low unzipping his pants. Savion rubbed her long brown hair back gently as she pulled his pants down. His c**k sprung to life as she began massaging the head then worked her way down the thick shaft. Her breath caused him to shiver as her mouth got close to his head. She licked the side of the shaft like an ice cream cone.
He hissed at the sensation. Loving his reaction she licked faster on each side until she felt it wet enough to slide the head into her mouth. Savion gritted his teeth as she jacked him off and sucked. Her tongue swirled around the tip, tasting any ooze that slicked out. Savion’s head was spinning as the pleasure ran through his body. Armarria smiled as his pleasure went through her.
She could feel exactly what she was doing to him which made the experience more explosive. She went faster, taking him even further into her mouth. Savion cursed moaning as he threw his head back.
“s**t baby. That feels…” He moaned again.
She pulled herself away from him. “You were saying?” he growled, pulling her up, taking her panties off in a hurry.
He pressed against her hard as his p***s slid right inside. He held her legs around his waist, sliding in and out, driving Armarria crazy. She moaned louder than she ever had before. Their connection grew stronger within each other, heightening the s*x drive. He kissed her everywhere as the need for her grew stronger. The need for release grew stronger.
He began walking to the bed holding her up. He laid her down on the bed and turned her around on all fours. Armarria pulsed with need as her butt was hiked in the air and her back perfectly dipped. He stared at her for a moment. Amazed at her body, she was so beautiful to him. He kissed her lips below causing her to squirm. He lingered his tongue there for a moment before rising up pressing his p***s into her entrance.
He stretched her as he slowly entered. Armarria closed her eyes and allowed the feeling to wash over her. The sweet friction of his thick shaft pressing against her walls and his thighs slamming against her butt was overwhelming. She placed her face in the pillow as she gripped the bed sheets.
“Aww, Savion.” She moaned his name as he picked up the pace. He grabbed her thighs and squeezed them close to him.
He groaned as her muscles tightened around his shaft. He pounded into her faster as her orgasm built.
“That’s right baby.” He moaned. “Come for me.”
She obeyed. Liquid poured down her thighs as he continued to pound into her. She gripped the sheets tighter. Once she calmed down he pulled out again, flipping her on her back. He stared into her eyes while entering her again, wrapping her legs around his waist. He began a slow pace so they could catch their breath.
“I love you Armarria.” He said in between pants. He kissed her hard pouring all his love into the kiss and the thrust. She arched into him.
“I love you Savion.” He smiled, grabbing the bed frame while thrusting his hips forward until he was balls deep inside her. She had to hold a scream as the fire began growing again. This time Savion was close. They came together as Savion gripped the bed frame until it bent as he moaned.
Savion woke to a soft knock at the door. He opened his eyes feeling groggy and tired. He looked over at Armarria sleeping peacefully in his arms. He smiled at her and kissed her forehead before he got up to reach for his pants. He opened the door, searching for the knocker; he looked down to see Jet.
“Savion we’re hungry. There’s really no food in the fridge.”
Savion rubbed his chin, trying to remember the last time he went grocery shopping. “It has been a while. We must go today to eat later.”
“But brother, Shadow isn’t here yet.”
“He will be here later on this evening. Go tell your brother and sisters to get dressed for a grocery store run.”
Jet paused. “Even Melody? She will be terrified. Especially with what happened yesterday.” Savion sighed, knowing Jet spoke the truth.
“I will deal with Melody.”
He nodded and ran off.
“What’s going on?” Armarria’s groggy raspy voice spoke from behind him, sitting up slowly. He closed the door gently and walked over to her. Her hair fell forward in bunches as her breast peered out of the cover. She looked so beautiful to him.
“We have to go to the store. All of us this time.” He explained.
Her head slumped back down on the pillow. Her body was sore from their lovemaking and she was also tired from the crying. She was sure her eyes were swollen, covering her jaws. Savion sat on the bed beside her.
“I want you to stay and rest. I was a bit rough last night.” He admitted.
She laughed sleepily, looking at the bent bed frame. “Maybe a little, but I’ll be fine.”
Savion kissed her shoulder. “Do you need me to carry you to the shower?”
She nodded. He laughed picking her up with ease, bridal style into the bathroom. “Melody will be devastated leaving the house. I hope one day we can heal her broken soul. It saddens me. She is so young and full of life.” Armarria said.
Savion ran the shower water. “I know. It pains me as well.”
“She is lucky to have you guys. I can see that you guys helped her overcome a lot.”
Savion smiled. “Now she has you, too. She told me she wanted you to be with me because you make me happy. It is all she wishes for us.”
He began to pull down his pants all while holding her still. He got into the tub and allowed the hot water to wash over them.
Armarria snuggled close to him. “We should grant that wish then.”
Savion smiled while placing his head on top of hers.
“We are.”
A few minutes later after they washed and threw clothes on to go to the store. Savion walked into Melody’s room before announcing he was ready to go. She was reading her book already dressed in her zebra striped leggings and purple tutu with a long sleeve purple shirt.
“I’m ready.” She said sadly, placing her book down.
“It will be alright Melody. I will not let anyone harm you. Or anyone else in this house. Got it?”
He cupped her chin, but she wouldn’t cheer up. “It looks like you are running low on books. We can go get you another if you want?” Her face lit up then.
“I get to choose this time because last time you grabbed the wrong one.”
Savion laughed. “It had a naked man on the cover. I was not getting that one.”
“He was not naked. He had his shirt off. You walk around the house shirtless all the time.” She replied walking out the door.
Savion shook his head. “Fine. You got me. I do not want my little sister ogling over boys already. You are supposed to be weirded out by them. They have cooties and such like Sara believes.”
Melody laughed. “I see what this is. You are afraid of me growing up.”
They reached the garage where everyone was strapped into their seatbelts and ready to go inside the family van. He helped Melody inside.
“Savion.” He looked up at David. “Something bad always happens when we leave the house.” He observed.
Savion nodded. “We are ready for anything.”
He closed the door and got into the driver’s seat. The ride was quiet. Everyone on edge about Ryan’s intrusion.
“David, I’m sorry about your eye.” Armarria broke the silence. She turned back to look at him.
“It's ok Miss Armarria. He punched me because I refused to let Sara go.”
She felt even worse. “I’m sorry for bringing this chaos into you guys life.” They remained quiet again.
“Was that your ex-love you were telling me about?” Melody asked, suddenly.
“Yes. The Cloak did something to him to make him crazy like that.”
“Steroid overload can cause hostile intentions and actions. That’s what they gave him and some of the mix Savion had. Maybe even his blood.” David answered in a matter of fact tone.
Savion thought about the fight again. Ryan’s eyes and his veins. He was clearly given something, but not the real thing.
“Raul wanted me to kill him.” He murmured to himself, realizing it as he spoke. He pulled up to the store about thirty minutes later.
“What did you say Savion?” Armarria asked. “Nothing we will talk about it later. Everyone stay close and let us get this over with.” He opened the car door and everyone got out.
Once inside the store Jet did all the shopping since he would be doing most of the cooking. He picked out spices and seasonings, the fruits and veggies, while Savion looked around the store cautiously. He was thankful it wasn’t as crowded for it being a Wednesday morning. Armarria looked around the room as well as she held Melody’s hand. Sara was in the basket riding with Savion.
“How about some cookies for tonight? Yum.” Jet suggested.
“Sounds good,” Sara replied.
Armarria looked around the store still tired. She walked blindly down the aisle until she bumped into a woman. Savion jerked his body around to face her.
“I’m sorry ma’am.” She apologized helping the lady pick up her fruit. The woman touched her hand causing Armarria to look up at her. Her eyes gazed at her in remembrance.
Armarria felt as if she knew the woman. The woman stood up and began to walk away.
“Ma’am Do I know..” She turned around and the woman was gone.
“Armarria are you ok?” She held her head as Savion walked up to her. “Yeah. Its just I think I know her.”
Savion didn’t like what was happening already. Let’s go get the cereal so we can leave.”
He began to push the cart down another aisle. Armarria followed confused. Melody pulled Armarria toward the cereal she wanted. Walking right next to a worker.
“Hey, pretty lady may I help you?” The boy looked to be fifteen years old. Armarria saw the dazed look in Melody’s eyes as she stared at him with a blush rising.
“Pick your cereal sweetie.” Armarria nudged her to move, but she was frozen.
“I’m. I’m sorry.” She snatched the cereal from the stand and ran back towards Savion.
“Did I say something wrong?” The boy asked apologetically.
Armarria smiled. “No. I believe you said everything right. Thank you...” She read his name tag. “Joshua.” She walked back to Savion smiling.
“What was that about?” He asked suspiciously.
Melody shook her head knowing her brother would question the boy instantly.
“I will tell you later,” Armarria replied, winking at Melody.
They had a cart full of items ready to check out. Armarria still thought about the woman she ran into earlier. How beautiful she was. Her dark brown eyes were haunting. Her long brown silky hair that made her look ten years younger in Armarria’s opinion.
She couldn’t place her finger on where she knew her and it frustrated her. Savion kissed her jaw to bring her back to reality.
“You have been spaced out ever since you bumped into that woman.”
She looked up at Savion. “I know I’m sorry. I just feel like I knew her. It's bugging me.”
“I can tell.” He responded. “And I do not have to be connected to you to tell this is bothering you.”
He handed the store clerk the money and they started walking out. Jet, Savion, and David loaded the trunk while the women got into the car.
“Miss Armarria... back there. That boy.” Armarria turned back to her smiling.
“It’s called a crush, Melody. You saw someone you liked.” She held her book close to her. “I feel the same way about your brother.”
She began to panic. “Savion wouldn’t understand. He would want to hurt him and Shadow would kill him.”
Armarria laughed a little knowing that was true. “They are just very protective of you that’s all. When you get a bit older I’m sure they will understand better.”
The boys hurried into the car. Armarria jumped. “What’s wrong?”
“I felt a surge of power close by here.” He began to drive off quickly. Armarria tried to calm herself but her hands began to shake.
Savion grabbed her hand with his free one to calm her. “It will be alright.” He drove around the highway curve looking up in his rearview mirror. A black van followed up behind him. He cursed. He looked ahead of him and saw a roadblock.
“Savion who are they?” Sara asked holding onto David.
Savion brought the car to a screeching halt before he reached the roadblock. The black van behind him soon pulled up. Savion unbuckled his seat belt, grabbing the handle.
Armarria grabbed his arm. “Savion don’t go out there.” She didn’t want to see him hurt.
“Armarria take care of them. I will be alright.” He opened his car door and closed it firmly behind him as he stepped out. He squinted his eyes as Raul walked out from the roadblock.
“Savion good to see you.” He greeted with a smile.
“I wish I could say the same for you Raul. How are you alive?”
Raul laughed, walking up closer. “Did I forget to mention I’m immortal?”
Savion smirked. “I apologize then. I did not know taking your heart out would not kill you. I promise to complete the task this time.” He responded sarcastically.
Raul laughed again. “Same ole Savion. Confident as always. I’m shocked though your brother isn’t with you. I thought you two were joined at the hip.”
Savion crossed his arms. “You know Shadow hates shopping.”
Raul nodded. “Right. So you are alone then?”
Savion thanked Shadow silently for investing in those tinted windows. No one could see the kids or Armarria inside. “I never said I was alone. Shadow is high on top of a building right now with his sniper rifle waiting.”
Raul smirked. “I think you are bluffing. Who’s in the car?”
He jerked his head toward the van. “No one. It’s just me and Shadow.”
Raul shook his head. “Savion I know you. You would never leave those kids alone, especially after the lil attack the other night.” Savion’s mouth twitched slightly angry, but he remained calm and composed. “So you wouldn’t mind my men shooting at the car then.”
Raul threw a finger and shots rang out aimed at the car. In his mind, Savion was screaming, but he never moved or showed any concern. Bullets ricocheted off the car. Raul smiled, Impressed.
“Bulletproof?”
Savion nodded. “Only the best.” He replied.
Armarria and the kids held their screams as they ducked and covered their mouths not to make a sound. “Open the doors,” Raul commanded the men. They began rushing for the car. Savion was there quickly, punching the men away from him. A shot rang out. Savion looked behind him to see a man holding a gun to his head.
Blood began to spill from the attacker’s forehead right between his eyes. Savion sighed relieved, looking over to where the shot came from. He nodded and said, “thank you.” Continuing his assault on the men around the car. He heard a scream from the passenger side as the door opened. The man who opened the door suddenly went flying back to a tree.
More men surrounded her though, pulling her out of the car. They caught Savion off guard and shot a taser at him, bringing him to his knees. He grunted as he fell, his eyes becoming red with fury. They dragged Armarria out of the car holding her arms. Raul walked up to her and bowed.
“Milady. We have been searching for you for a very long time.”
The kids got out of the car as David's eyes began to glow.
“Stand back.” He said as the van began to form a robot. Everyone stood in awe at the transformation. David stood in a fighting stance, fists ready as the robot stood behind him in the same stance. He acted as if he was running as the robot mimicked his every move.
He punched downward, smashing the men in front of Savion, freeing him. Savion quickly acted running towards more men twirling sideways to kick the man by his foot and punching down at the man by his arms. The man in-between got thrown to the ground by Savion’s body mass. Another shot rang out from a distance as several men around Armarria began to fall around her.
She was freed and began running back to protect the children. David continued to fight with his robot smashing their cars and stepping on them. A man came up from behind him.
“David, look out!” Armarria warned.
He turned quickly only to see the man falling to the floor with a bullet in his head. Raul stepped into the mix with Savion with two other G.E.M.s seeing as his men were not strong enough.
A bullet rang out toward Raul, piercing the side of his head. He only smiled as the bullet began to crawl out of his skull.
“Nice try.”
One of the henchmen went for Savion with his sword swinging through the air as he ran full speed towards him. He turned quickly, jumping back before the sword pierced his flesh. The henchman was fast. Almost catching Savion off guard with his sword skill.
Savion flipped backward balancing himself on one hand. The sword sliced a piece of his shirt. Just when he got back on his feet the other henchman shot Savion in the right leg causing him to fall to one knee.
“Shit.” He cursed, as the pain coursed through him.
Before he could dodge the first henchman swung his sword. Savion’s eyes widened as the sword stopped mere inches from his face as it clashed with another sword.
“Took you long enough.” He said with a smirk, looking up at his brother.
“I got hungry,” Shadow replied, pushing the swordsman back. “You are getting sloppy.” He attacked the swordsman, by swinging his sword right, slicing the swordsman sleeve.
“Well, I did get shot.” Savion joked, grabbing the man with guns. He kicked him in the chest, knocking his gun out of his hands.
“No excuses.” Shadow dodged the first henchman’s powerful sword combo, a blur to the untrained eye. Shadow could follow everything, dodging and attacking where he saw an opening, right in his stomach. He used his elbow to halt the attacker first then used his whole arm to s***h him in the stomach. The swordsman dodged, jumping back quickly. Savion used a combo connection ending with a flip to take his opponent out. The gunman fell back as the brothers fought back to back.
“What is Raul doing alive?” Shadow asked, standing in a fighting stance.
“Apparently he is immortal. Go figure.” Shadow hoofed.
“Of course he is.” Savion braced himself for another attack as the attackers began chanting and performing a ritual of some sort. Their hands moved as if tutting as their arms performed a clockwise motion.
“I am not liking the looks of this,” Savion admitted. He looked over at Armarria holding her ground against Raul, but he could feel her becoming weak. “I need to get to Raul.”
Shadow glanced back at him. The two men started to form into one body, merging together. “It was one guy.” Shadow was shocked. “Impressive.”
Savion turned to face the man alongside Shadow. “Ask him for some tips later.”
Savion ran to attack, knowing his brother would follow behind him. First, it appeared to be only Savion approaching the henchman, but then Shadow appeared above him. His sword ready to slice anything as he came down. The henchman dodged by slightly moving his body to the right side, punching Shadow in the face.
Savion attacked then with a fierce left knee attack followed by a kick with his right leg. His long legs connected to the henchman’s side, sending him ground sliding away from them. Shadow followed up next with a triple air kick to the henchman’s face, finished by a swing of his sword. The henchman fell back, surprised by the brother’s strength and agility. Before he could attack again Raul intervened.
“Enough.”
He walked over to one of the cars that caused the roadblock. “Let them go, Jackson. We got what we came for.” He pulled a woman out of the back seat with force, as she squirmed and fought. It was the lady from the grocery store.
Armarria walked up slowly. “Let her go please.” She cried.
Savion ran over to her, standing in front of her, holding her back. Raul put a gun to her head. “Do you even know who this woman is?” He asked, throwing the woman on the ground. He waited for Armarria’s answer.
“No.” She replied. “Just please don’t hurt her.”
Raul laughed. “This woman is the cause of you not having your memories. She put a mental block on your mind. She even made you forget about her. She’s a powerful telepath.” He c****d his gun. “When I pull this trigger, you will remember everything.”
Savion turned towards the mad man. “Raul, do not pull the trigger.” He growled low. Raul looked down at the woman as tears began to fall from her face. She stared at Armarria. Before Savion could run to stop Raul, he pulled the trigger right into the woman’s skull. Armarria’s eyes widened, turning white as her powers took over. She screamed, falling to her knees in slow motion.
Savion was pushed back slightly as her power began to explode outside her body. Shadow covered the kids, holding them close as the force from her power would’ve blown them away. Cars began to float into the air along with Raul and his lackeys. They screamed. Raul even looked worried as his men began to die from the sudden snapping of necks or breaking of their bones from Armarria’s mind.
He laughed. “You can’t kill me. I’m immortal.”
Her head slanted accepting his challenge. Raul’s laughter was soon turned into screams as she began to stretch Raul’s atoms. First, his arms began to break off with parts of his skin rising. Then his legs began to evaporate into the atmosphere. He screamed one last time before he burst into small molecules.
Shadow forced his head to turn as the wind was almost too powerful for even him.
“Savion!” He screamed.
Savion pushed through the powerful wind to reach his woman.
“Armarria!” He screamed her name, but she remained in a catatonic state. He reached her, grabbing her arms and shaking. “Baby! Wake up. You have to come back to me.” He pleaded wiping the stray tears that fell from her eyes.
He tried to find anything to get her back. Her eyes were all white staring in one direction not even noticing he was there. “Armarria please I need you. Come back to me.” He pleaded again, holding her face firmly in his hands. He groaned in frustration, placing his lips on hers. He kissed her frozen lips praying that would be enough to bring her back. After pouring everything he had into the kiss, he almost lost hope until fresh tears started to pour from her eyes again.
Grief stabbed him like a knife. He backed away to look into her eyes. Her deep brown pupils were back as the world around them began to calm down. The cars fell back down to the ground and so did the dead bodies. Even the sun began to peek through the sky again.
“Armarria baby look at me.”
She closed her eyes instead. “I knew her Savion…she was…” Her voice began to fade.
“Armarria stay with me.” Savion gave her a little shake, but all she could see was darkness as she fainted.
