Chapter 14

They walked in a few hours later, Savion carrying Armarria as she slept in his strong arms. “What happened to the car?” David asked as he let them in. Savion placed Armarria’s resting body on the couch quickly as he slumped down as well. Shadow fell in the chair exhausted. Their clothes were torn and dirty as ash marked their face. It was late at night so the other kids were supposed to be sleeping. “We won,” Savion replied through shorten breaths. “It looks like you lost.” David joked. “Is Miss Armarria ok?” Savion looked over at her sleeping peacefully. “Yes. She is very strong.” Savion said with awe and love in his voice. Shadow stood from the chair. “We still have much to do. David, I need a flight to Las Vegas, Nevada as soon as you can.” Savion grabbed Shadow’s wrist. “So soon. We just got back…” “I have to take care of this problem before it reaches here. They blew up the car Savion.” He held the note out of his pocket in his hands In Savion’s face. “Which is more reason we should not be apart right now. Whoever you killed or tortured is coming after all of us, regardless if it is just you. You are not alone in this.” Shadow jerked away. “I am. I will not involve you in a mess I made. I alone will fix it. Just stay out of it.” He jerked away from Savion viciously. Feeling guilty instantly, he paused before walking out the door. “You have to attend to the kids Savion, plus your woman. I do not know how long I will be gone, but I will look for the water element when I get there.” He walked away, leaving Savion with a sigh. “Should I still get the flight Savion?” David asked uncertain of which brother to follow. “Yes. Whatever this is that is driving Shadow back to Las Vegas is his own demon he has to face alone. I cannot help him no matter how hard I want to try.” He stood as well. “You were also very brave here tonight David. While Shadow is gone I think we should further your training more than the others. You will be going on your own missions soon.” David flinched back. “What? Me?” Savion picked Armarria up in his arms again. “Yes, you. Now go get some sleep. We can discuss this further in the morning.” Savion walked away with Armarria to her room. He laid her down on her bed before running the shower. He waited until the water was hot enough to soothe his aches and pains and then undressed, walking back into the room to pick up Armarria. She was sleeping so peacefully he didn’t want to wake her so he decided to just pull her clothes off except panties and bra and covered her up with the cover. Exhausted still, he sat in the chair by the window feeling a bit uplifted. The first step it seemed was over. The huge hurdle his family needed to get over was done. One Cloak member down, four more to go. He clenched his fists tight on the chair. Now his brother was going through his own demon. He silently prayed for Shadow’s sanity. He looked over at Armarria sleeping as her hair fell around her face. The way her chest moved up and down as she breathed even fascinated him. She was his angel, his sanity. He would never be able to let her go. “Savion?” She began to stir in a panic as tears began to suddenly fall from her eyes. “It’s Armon!” Savion reached for her fighting body to calm her. “Baby look at me. Open your eyes. You are safe with me.” Armarria’s eyes opened as she sobbed. “I saw my brother. He was killing you. I don’t think he is dead Savion.” She squeezed tightly to him. “He is. Do not worry.” He rocked and soothed her. “So what happens now?” She asked as Savion pulled her on top of him. “Shadow will go back to Vegas to rectify whatever problem he involved himself in and find the water element as well.” “Sephora.” She answered with a sigh and a pause before speaking again. “We grew up together for a short time. I miss her. We were like sisters.” Then a few tears started to come down again as she thought about her best friend who was like her sister, Mattie. “What pains you so my love?” Savion lifted her chin to see her eyes. “I lost my friend when she decided to have s*x with Ryan. He is gone now and I just feel bad for her. She will never know the truth or have closure.” Savion laughed softly in disbelief. “She slept with your ex and you feel sorry for her?” Armarria joined in the soft laughter. “Yeah, I guess it sounds crazy when you put it like that, but once I let Ryan go it didn’t hurt so bad. I see her as a person who lost someone now. Not the woman who betrayed me. I can’t hate her for helping me get rid of him. I never would’ve found you.” She began caressing his stomach, tracing the hard abs to his muscular chest, admiring every ounce of his skin. “I never would have thought of it that way. Maybe I should go shake her hand.” She burst into laughter then. “I cannot imagine a world without you in it Armarria.” He lifted her chin to kiss her so sweetly and passionately. The kiss set her body on fire. Even as tired as she was, she came alive under his touch. A touch she knew would never get old. “Savion…” She breathed his name while breaking away from him, staring into his auburn eyes hazy with desire. “I want you to make love to me,” Savion smirked as his c**k jerked in anticipation. “I thought you would never ask.” She laughed kissing him again climbing on top of him. She kissed his neck and worked her way down to his chest and then his stomach until she reached his shorts dragging them down. His thick c**k sprung up ready to be welcomed home. His safe haven. Pulling her own panties down she sat on him slowly allowing his p***s to penetrate. She was wet and hot, so ready and welcoming. Savion moaned grabbing her hips as she adjusted her body. His hands caressed her breasts as she began a slow torturous ride...   Armarria’s nerves shook as she knocked on Mattie’s door. Savion holding her hand through it all, looking rather good in his button-down collared shirt and slacks that fit him wonderfully. That insecure part of her didn’t want Mattie to even look at Savion due to the fact that she was afraid she could take him as well. The door opened. With much confusion on her face, Mattie looked at Armarria. She quickly hugged her. “Mia! You are the last person I expected to see.” Armarria hesitantly hugged her back. “Have you come to pay your respects to Ryan?” Savion and Armarria glanced at each other. “What happened to Ryan?” She asked, curious to see what Mattie knew. “Come in.” Mattie grabbed Armarria’s hand causing Savion to tense up. He wanted to tear her hand away from her, but stopped himself and followed them inside. Mattie had pictures and flowers around her apartment. “It was a terrible car crash. A man came by and told me the news already. It was all over the news. You didn’t see it?” Armarria and Savion glanced at each other again. “What man?” He asked, eyes squinting now with worry. “He was tall and had a goatee. He was Hispanic if I remember correctly.” Armarria watched Savion’s reaction to telling if he knew the man or not. He seemed to be trying to control himself and not release the rage inside of him. Only Armarria could tell. “Well, we did hear he passed away. We just did not know the cause.” Savion replied as genuinely as possible. Mattie held her hand out to shake his hand. “And you are?” And there it was. Mattie’s eyes now caught glimpse of the sexy man in front of her. Savion wrapped his arm around Armarria’s waist as he took her hand. “I’m Jason Sanders. Armarria’s fiancé.” Armarria turned to Savion a bit stunned at the title but played it off smoothly. It was faint, but Armarria saw the jealous gleam in Mattie’s eyes. It pleased her strangely, knowing her friend who betrayed her was now jealous of her relationship. “Well Mia, I see you moved on rather quickly,” Mattie replied, with a nervous laugh that pissed Savion off. “I assume I have you to thank for that?” His response was quick and stabbed Mattie right in the chest with his correct accusation. Mattie’s eyes widened and she took a step back. “Mia, I never meant…” Armarria held her hand up. “It’s fine Mattie. I’m over it now. I’m sorry you lost Ryan. That’s the only reason we showed up today, to pay our respects.” “Aren’t you happy though?” Armarria shook her head. “No, I would never wish death on anyone, Mattie. How could you say that?” Mattie then gave Armarria a firm look. “You know what I mean, karma Mia. It’s what I deserved for hurting my friend in such a way. You know I wasn’t his only. Once you left him he became obsessed with getting you back. He only wanted to control women’s emotions. You are stronger than me because…” She paused; her mind uttered the words before her lips in regret and happiness. “I’m glad he is dead. I hope he is rotting in hell.” Armarria and Savion were both confused at her words. “Mattie I thought…” Armarria honestly didn’t know what to think.  “I just came by to check on you. We should be going now.” Savion agreed and they both made a walk towards the door. “How do you do it, Mia?” They paused and looked back at her. “How do you get these men to fall in love with you?” Armarria opened her mouth to speak, but Savion squeezed her hand warning her to remain quiet. “Tell me! Jason, why do you love her?” “She is protruding some G.E.M energy. Raul must have done something to her as well.” He whispered to Armarria staying close to her. There was a dark aura around Mattie that Armarria could see now. “Don’t hurt her. Let’s just go.” Savion turned to Armarria and saw the plea in her eyes along with the sadness she felt for the traitor woman she once called a friend. The need to hurt the woman was strong. In his mind, she was the enemy and a possible threat, but he couldn’t deny Armarria’s request as he opened the door and walked out. “Answer me!” There was a huge thud at the door that caused Armarria to jump, but Savion kept her moving towards the car. “She will have to be dealt with sooner or later. You do realize that right?” Armarria remained quiet, staring at her lap while Savion drove back to their home. “I never knew she was jealous of me.” She responded in a low distant tone. Savion sighed. “It seems you did not know the woman you called your friend at all.” He replied truthfully. “I always thought she was the cute one and the most successful. I never looked at having Ryan as a goal or anything like that.” “You will be amazed at the things people have and what all they want. You amaze me Armarria. You are pure and kind and caring. They did not deserve you.” He continued. Armarria placed her hand on his on the steering wheel as if reading his thoughts on his last statement. “I deserve you. I’m not sure what would’ve happened if we hadn’t met in the bank that day. You saved me in more ways than one.” She said, causing Savion to smile. “No Armarria. You saved me.” They both knew the journey would be a long one, but they refused to let each other face anything alone. Whatever the future may hold for them they knew they would always love each other. Armarria and Savion will return! TO BE CONTINUED
