The Fight

The Fight You've All Been Waiting For- Noel "I know that you're mad, but you can't go overboard, Will. Frankie didn't even want me to tell you, and if this escalates into something more and the police show up, you'll get kicked off the team. I don't want you throwing your future away on some dumb boy." I explain. "He hurt Frankie. He doesn't get a pass. I told him that if he f*****g touched my brother again then I'd break his nose. I told Frankie not to trust this guy and then he just goes and f***s him? How stupid is he?" I sigh as we keep walking. Apparently there's a*****e that Mason goes to all the time, and Will is planning to kick his ass. Of course I want to also. He pressured Frankie into losing his virginity, and he hasn't told anyone else, but he felt like he couldn't say no. He felt like Mason wouldn't have listened. Instead of his first time being with a guy that cares about him and wanted it to bring mutual pleasure, Frankie was stuck with Mason who just used his body for self gratification and then dumped him the next day. What kind of sociopathic asshole does that? I've f****d my fair share of people, but I've never pressured anyone, nor have I forced anyone. People who do that are seriously messed up, but the fact remains that Mason is a minor and I am not. If I hit him I can actually go to jail. I don't want to stress Sawyer out or make Dax mad. Even after we left the doctor, Frankie asked me not to hurt him. I'm not going to go against that, but Will is out for blood. It doesn't matter how much they argue. Family is family, and Will hates when people mess with Frankie. "He didn't want you to judge him, Will. That's why he didn't tell you." "Whatever. He might be an i***t, but he's my baby brother and that dickhead isn't getting away with it. If you try to stop me, I'll punch you too, Noel." I shrug and hold both hands up in surrender. "I'm not stopping anything unless you go too far. He deserves to get hurt a little." "A lot." Will argues, spotting Mason leave the store before turning down a little alleyway. "Come on." We follow him quickly so we can catch up, and as soon as we do, Will shoves him as hard as he can. When Mason stumbles and falls forward, Will climbs on him, trying to turn him over. "I told you to stay away from my brother." "Get off me you f*****g creep. I didn't do anything to him that he didn't ask for!" "Yes you did!" Will screams back, pulling his arm back to swing his fist as soon as Mason is turned over. "You manipulated him into having s*x with you and then you broke up with him the next day, you piece of shit." I just watch as Will hits him a few more times before Mason manages to get the upper hand. He flips them over and gets a few punches in, pinning Will to the ground. "It's not my fault. He's a desperate, pathetic little faggot. You think I forced him or something? He was practically begging for it." Mason hits him a few more times. I'm not supposed to get involved. My blood is boiling and seeing him hit Will makes me want to jump in, but I'm not a kid anymore. I can't get away with this stuff. "I kicked his ass a thousand times and he still jumped into bed with me the first chance he got. He's a w***e, and I bet if I wanted him back, he'd be groveling on his knees for me. He asked for it." He hits Will hard enough for a c***k to echo through the alley followed by Will's squeal. When I notice blood start dripping out of his nose. Damnit. I run towards them and yank Mason off, punching him hard in the face before climbing on him to pin him down as best I can. He moves a lot, making it difficult for me to pin him while Will gets back to normal. He gets loose for just a moment, but it's long enough for him to swing his fist out and connect with my cheek. I'm not supposed to hit him too much, but it's annoying to pretend that I couldn't easily kick his ass. I hit him again, knocking him back to the ground. I pin his arms by his head and move up his body to press my knees down in his arms. Once he's immobile, I punch him two more times before stopping. "Stay the hell away from my family, you asshole! Touch one of my brothers again and I'll hit you way harder, got it? Don't even think of speaking to Frankie again. I swear to god if I ever see him with bruises from you or your friends again, I'm coming after you." I climb off of him and walk to Will who is clutching his nose and tilting his head back to stop the blood. I walk over and grab his face to tilt his head down. I wipe the tears off of his face and pull my shirt off to hold it against his face. "It's going to hurt for a second while I check something, okay?" "You're letting him get away!" Will whines when Mason stands up to run away from us. "It's over with. If he picks on you or Frankie at school then just let me know." I tell him before holding his head closer. I use my other hand to reach up and push on the top of his nose, making him scream and yank away from me. "Noel!" "We need to go to the hospital. It's broken." I inform him. I used to get into fights a lot, and I know what a broken nose feels like. "I'll just tape it. Sawyer doesn't have money for a trip to the hospital." "Dax can pay for it." He glares at me, looking scarier with both eyes and his nose starting to bruise. "I'm not taking money from your sugar daddy." "Then Sawyer's boyfriend can pay for it." "You're still not using Teagan's name?" "Who? Sorry, that sounds like someone who's dead to me." I answer, turning to start walking back towards our house. "He raised us, Noel." "No. He raised you. I was a self sufficient teenager when that prick showed up. I let him into my life because I wanted someone there. Not because I needed him." I remind him, stomping back towards the house with him trailing close behind like a lost puppy. He keeps his mouth shut for the rest of the walk before we finally arrive and search for the adults. After a bit of looking, we find them both in the kitchen. "Sawyer, I need you to ask your boyfriend to take Will to the hospital. He slipped and broke his nose." "The least you can do is say his name." Sawyer nags as Teagan rolls his eyes, but stays quiet. He doesn't blame me for being mad at him. For some reason that pisses me off even more. "It's okay." He tells Sawyer, leaning over to kiss his cheek before gesturing for Will to come with him. "It'll be alright, kid. You should still be cleared to play in your next game. They'd really struggle without a decent playmaker." "Coach probably won't bench me unless a ball hits me in the face or something. He always talks about how I-" When they leave, Sawyer turns to me with a frown. "Who did you get in a fight with?" "I told you we slipped and fell." "Right. So who was it?" "Mason broke up with Frankie. He said some really mean s**t, so Will and I just gave him a little warning to stop f*****g with Frankie." Sawyer rolls his eyes and sighs while leaning against the counter. "That'll be pretty useless considering they're 'In love'. Mason's still going to come over." "Not anymore. He's been talking to this heavy metal creep that he met at... school." I say, leaving out the part about me taking Frankie to my doctor. Frankie losing his virginity is his business, and I'm sure he doesn't want Sawyer to know. "Creep?" "The kid calls himself Moth and is covered in piercings. He's always dressed like he'd be going to a Black Sabbath concert and I'd bet money that he's gonna get a face tattoo when he gets older." I explain. That kid is definitely weird. "Oh. I never thought that would be his type, but at least he's helping Frankie get over Mason." "Yeah. The kid is 15 though. He's in Frankies grade so I think he got held back. It's not a big deal though. From what I'm aware of, he doesn't do anything to hurt Frankie so he's fine in my book." "Great. I have something to tell you okay?" "Okay? You're not pregnant are you?" "Ha ha." He says sarcastically before getting a more serious look on his face. "I made an appointment with Hayes-" "Oh, I'm so proud of you. You know the first step to getting better is admitting you have a problem." Sawyer narrows his eyes in a way that clearly conveys that he's tired of my s**t. "It's for you, Noel." "I have no issues, so I'm completely unsure of what you're talking about." I fake a gasp and clutch my imaginary pearls. "You're still hurt by what happened even though every single person who was involved is over it. You won't look him in the eye. You won't call him by his name. You won't speak to him. You need to figure out how you can make this better because Teagan isn't going anywhere." "He said that last time. You know, before he packed his s**t and left without saying a word." I snap, turning to go up to my bedroom. "Next Friday at noon, Noel. I'll send you the address!" He calls after me. I'm not going. So what if I hold a grudge, get hurt easily, have attachment issues, and fear abandonment? Okay... maybe I do need therapy.
