41 Saves The Woman In Her Dream

1510 Words
If there was another thing Peter got ever since he found about the Book Of Dimensions, whether he summoned the creature or not, he was threatened with being killed.   He quickly ran about three houses away from where he was and started creating another plan.   Fire, ice, and powerful beams couldn’t beat the squid, so he needed to think things aside from those. Something that could be an opportunity for him to find its weakness. He wanted to try at least a variety of things.   For now, he thought of being a person with powers of controlling vines.   Wearing his protective armors and steel wings, he flew toward the squid, and with movements of his hands, he made giant vine sprouts from the ground and controlled the vines to surround the squid.   The squid was squished into twists of vines, its tentacles held tight close to the body of the squid.   It seemed to be working, as Peter saw the squid struggle to break free from the vines.   Peter took the chance to get an RPG as a weapon against the squid. He continuously fired at the squid, the explosion as loud as the creature’s growl.   It gave him the same result. The squid was burned but it quickly healed itself. Fortunately, the vines kept the squid in place.   He then thought of mimicking Zeus, the Greek god. And with Peter’s hand, he summoned lightning from the sky and let it stroke straight toward the squid.   The squid was electrocuted by the lightning, and he saw how it slowly closed its eyes as if it died.   No, it was sleeping. The lightning brought the squid monster to sleep, as it loosely hanged on the vines. It wasn’t bad, Peter thought. He could come up with few plans to kill it. And while it was asleep, he could strike closely without being worried the squid would come to him.   He gathered a few vines again, making sure the squid wouldn’t have any chance to attack him. If there would be any, while the squid tried to break free, he could fly again to somewhere safe. Somewhere a little far from the squid.   He could leave anytime and wake up, but seeing the squid monster for the first time, he found it as an opportunity to show how powerful he was. And he might change history as the first person in the dream world and first dreamlord to kill a squid.   He doubted the squid monster would be less powerful when sleeping, so he came up with another new plan. This time, he used laser power to slice the monster in pieces. He made a laser gun and made its power on full capacity. He made sure it would be nearly as hot as the sun.   He started with its tentacles, and it easily cut off everything in an instant. Like what happened earlier, the cut tentacles were dissolved on the ground into something liquid.   When he looked back at the squid monster, he found something interesting. The squid was regrowing its tentacles, but it was slower this time. He theorized it was because the squid monster was asleep therefore, its guard was down.   Well, at least a little. Seeing it regrow its tentacles very slowly, it was a chance for him to use the laser.   He proceeded with cutting its head off. Simple logic. The head is the powerhouse of all creatures. If its head was cut off, then it would probably be the end of the creature.   Peter laughed vigorously. He was ecstatic to finally reach his goal to kill the squid.   He then used the laser gun. He started off to the side, but it was harder than when he was using it on the tentacles. Since the flesh was thicker, the laser couldn’t even easily cut an inch of its flesh.   He continued and even created another laser gun to double the power and effect, but he was finding it too difficult.   Suddenly, the squid’s eyes flashed open.   Shocked, he quickly flew away and continued with the laser gun, but since the squid was awake now, it easily regrew its tentacles and now breaking free from the vines.   Peter made the laser gun disappear and controlled the vines, gathering more to confine the monster. He suddenly had the idea to strangle the squid to death.   However, the squid didn’t make it easy for Peter. The creature continued to use its tentacles to break free while Peter continued to squish the squid with the vines.   At one moment, the squid broke the vines as it growled its loudest growl yet. Now, the squid was coming toward him.   Peter knew he’d be dead if the squid found where he was. So he ran away out of the squid monster’s sight and went back to where his house was.   He couldn’t hide there, so he went back to a nearby orb where he could enter and hide.   Coincidentally, he didn’t know it was the dream orb of the woman earlier, the one who was dreaming about the zombie apocalypse.   When he got there, it was the same dream. The woman was still dreaming about the zombie, and now she was being chased.   She was now on top of a tall building, and down below was waves of zombies mobbing to reach the top—to reach her.   Peter couldn’t see any panic in her face, though. She seemed to be expecting it.   Since it wasn’t his dream, he chose to just hover on the sky to watch what would happen in her dream.   He didn’t realize right away that she had a lot of guns on the rooftop of the tall building. It was all automatic guns, and she also had few grenades there.   She took two grenades and pulled their pins at the same time, then quickly threw it below. She had only a few seconds to throw it, and she was on top of the tenth floor of the building so she had not much time to throw it. If she threw it late, the explosion wouldn’t even reach the zombies on the ground.   Just in time, the grenades reached the towering zombies which just reached the third floor.   She took another two grenades, pulled their pins, and threw them below, which diminished quite a several zombies who were trying to tower again just to reach her. As Peter was seeing, the woman was holding the situation well.   Turning around, she picked up a machine gun with a grunt then settled it by the edge of the top of the building and aimed at the zombies below, and managed to kill a lot of them.   She grinned. “I only got bullets to feed you,” she said.   Peter heard her normal voice for the first time, and what she said made him chuckle a little. Well, the woman wasn’t bad. It made Peter think that if she was not a dreamlord nor training to be one, then she must’ve had experience in controlling her dreams. Like an intentional lucid dreaming.   She then took the last three grenades there and pulled its pins altogether before throwing it again below.   The explosion of the three grenades was powerful that she felt it from where she stood. She was shocked at the same time ecstatic. She must’ve liked thrilling things. Which wasn’t questionable for Peter since she looked like a fan of the zombie apocalypse.   He wondered how long she had been keeping the dream. He was left her dream to fight the squid monster for a while and when he was back to her dream, she was still having the same dream.   Which was crazy to Peter. He didn’t know someone could retain the same concept of a dream for that long.   She took another loaded gun and crazily fired it below, killing a lot of zombies in the process.   But then, there was suddenly a shattering of glass from behind her. She quickly turned to see what was happening, and she was shocked to see waves of zombies who got to the top of the building.   The door to the top of the building had a glass window into it, and it was what shattered.   Peter thought it would be impressive if the zombies learned how to open the door.   And one of the zombies did. He gasped in shock and looked at the woman who was panicking to get another gun and fired the zombies coming from the door.   “What the heck?” she screamed.   The woman stood by the edge and kept on firing her gun, but many zombies were coming at her so she was in great danger.   “I’d rather die on a fall than to be eaten by zombies while I’m still alive,” she said and laughed a little.   Peter’s eyes widened in surprise. “No!” he screamed when she then jumped off the building.   He couldn’t let her die in her dream. If she died on her dream, then she’d die in real life because he was sure the monster was still around. If she died, then she would be stuck in the pitch black of emptiness forever.   He quickly flew down to catch her, and he made it before even reached the fifth floor down.   “Gotcha,” he said when he caught her, carrying her bridal style.   The woman looked at him in surprise. “Who are you?”
