33 Expelling Demons From Three Years Ago Part I

1465 Words
Three Years Ago   The next day after Edgar Lee died, lurking in the shadows of the basement were three evil creatures with sharp teeth and claws, tall, goat-like feet, and red glowing eyes.   Demons.   They lived in the darkness, feeding into evils without being seen by mortals. They had eyes in different places, watching people who did bad and evil things.   They were supposed to be on their world, but before the portal where Edgar was taken to was closed, they managed to sneak out of the portal.   They were waiting for someone to open the villa, so they could get out to the world.   There were whispers, silent growls, and other ominous sounds, and then it came to a full stop.   A van stopped in front of the villa, revealing people wearing forensic uniforms and led by someone.   One of the people in forensic uniform ran to the front door and opened it, and the demons once again started whispering, silent growling, and made those tapping noises on the walls.   They took that perfect time to get out of the basement, then out of the house. They were free.   The shotgun door opened, revealing the person that led those people in forensic uniforms.   The person stepped out of the car, at the same time the demons had successfully left the mansion of the villa. A cold wind passed by the person’s face, blowing the hair.   The person knew that familiar rotten and roasting smell, and knowing what it was that just passed, a grin slowly grew on the person’s lips.   “Let’s finish this early, boys.”   The demons were out to the world, finding their prey.   They separated their ways, and each they made their way to find someone they could possess into.   One was in the same town, possessing a woman in his 20’s, the other one went to the neighboring town possessing a young boy, and the other went out of United States, in France, possessing a model on his 30’s.   Meanwhile, Beth Lennox received a report about those demons, and she was assigned to either catch or kill them.   Of course, she chose the latter.   When she arrived at the restaurant, she sat across the woman, the woman just looked at Beth and continued eating vigorously as if she hadn’t eaten for ages.    Confirmed, she was possessed by the demon.   “I know you’re in there. Let’s get this done quickly, so just come out of that body and come with me while I’m still being nice,” she warned the demon inside of her.   The woman, who was influenced by drugs and had been stealing things around downtown, stopped eating and dropped the burger on the platter.   She looked at Beth, glaring her eyes red. She pushed herself from the table and started to run away.   “Hey! Wait!” the waiter yelled, but Beth left a few bills on behalf of the woman. She smiled at the waiter and followed quickly to where the woman had run to.   Beth was a fast runner, but the woman was running faster than her, making it hard for her to catch up. When she was too tired to run, she panted and took a demon gun from her holster.   The demon gun was made out of magic. No one else could see it but the owner of the gun or the demons themselves.   Breathing heavily, she looked up to the scope of the gun and aimed for its head.   She was about one hundred meters away from the woman, so she had to aim a little over the head for accuracy.   She made her finger ready to pull the trigger, but when she was about to do it, the woman took a turn, making Beth lose her target.   “Damn it!” she cursed and placed the gun back to her holster.   Despite people watching her weirdly at how she looked like she was “pretending” to hold a gun, she ran after the woman, taking a different route.   She turned to her left, then walked the alley then turned right, until she arrived at an old and abandoned establishment.   Opening the door, she coughed at the dust she had inhaled.   “Geez, how old is this building?” she asked as someone would answer.   There was a staircase to her left that led to the second floor. She continued to roam the floor while holding at the gun on her holster. There was a small room to her left, and not knowing what’s inside, she aimed her gun forward and slowly approached the door-less room.   When she was near the small room, she turned and aimed the gun inside, but the room was empty.   She sighed and walked upstairs with light footsteps, making sure she wouldn’t make any noise.   When she reached the second floor, the woman suddenly came to her and pushed her to the staircase.   Screaming, Beth rolled down the stairs and hit her back on the wall.   She groaned the gun out of her hands. She whimpered in pain and stood up, but the woman was in front of her.   She tried to stand up, but the woman laughed in a very scary voice. It’s not just one voice, it was mixed with the original voice of the woman, which made it more creepy.   The woman kicked the demon gun and leaned to Beth, who was breathing heavily. “Here, let me help you,” the woman said with her possessed voice and picked up Beth, holding her by the neck.   Next thing Beth knew, she was lifted in the air, and she was gasping for air.   The woman sighed. “I was having some fun, but you interrupted me,” she said with still possessed voice.   Beth’s vision was starting to get dizzy, but she still tried to take the demon dagger in her pocket.   But the woman saw her, so the demon threw her down the stairs, to the groups of blue container drums, which were empty.   When Beth hit the drums, they all fell to the dusty floor.   The woman cheered. “Strike!” she jumped from the stairs and walked towards Beth, who was still on the floor, her whole body aching.   The woman tilted her head and looked at Beth. “You’re one weak human, and you have potential. How would it feel to be in your body?” the woman asked and looked at her body. “This body seemed to be a little weaker than you. I think you would be a better shell.”   Beth gripped tight on the dagger bellow her stomach.   The demon detached itself from the woman. The woman fell on the floor, knocked out.   Glancing at the passes-out woman, the demon slowly approached Beth. But before she could even be possessed by the demon, she quickly turned and stabbed the demon on its chest.   The demon looked at its chest which was starting to burn and he cried of agony.   The demon pushed Beth with force she hit the same group of container drums, but this time, she just slipped to the floor.   The demon quickly made its way to the woman, but it was too late, she was burning in flame and every bit of the demon started cracking.   With one last glance, the demon looked at Beth before it turned to ash, blown by a virtual wind.   Beth breathed out of relief and walked to the woman to check her pulse.   She sighed in relief when she still felt her pulse.   She left the woman there, collected the demon dagger and gun, and placed it back to her holster. She then left the woman at the abandoned building, as she thought there was no need for her to introduce herself to the woman.   Instead, she managed to leave a note on the dusty floor using water.   She wrote, “Your life will be better without drugs. Be good.”   She took her phone and called Roger.   “Beth? How did it go?” he asked.   “I nearly died, but I’m done. One is dead,” she reported.   Roger sighed.”I’m glad you’re alive.” he said. “I told you to bring Bryan with you.”   She sighed. “I’m fine. I can do this alone,” she said and left went to the rooftop of another building, ready to form up a portal. “What’s the destination of the other demon?” she asked.   “I’ll send you the address. Bryan will meet you there,” Roger said.   “Don’t send him. I can do this alone, I told you,” she repeated.   “I will still send Bryan,” he said and ended the call.   Beth stared at the screen of her phone. She was never hung up by anyone.   She clicked her tongue. “This wouldn’t happen if Edgar Lee was careful.”   That time, Edgar Lee was in question for his unreasonable hunt for creatures. He was a headache for the purifiers as his failures in summoning was chaos for them, because they had creatures to take care of.   Few minutes of waiting, she received a message from Roger.   She opened it and it was an address to the second place where another demon was.   Focusing her spiritual power, she opened a portal that was a door to the other town.   “Next, a possessed boy. I just hope I wouldn’t die in the hands of a kid.”
